Matt, Chris B, Michael and Chris M - I need you guys to seriously consider the PCNZ Sprints or Time Trials please.
We are having to resort to inviting other car clubs as the numbers are not enough at the mo??
Mark - you can limp around with first and forth gears?? - or bring the blue beast...........
.
If we have to go there, can I nominate the McLaren, Ferrari and Lambo clubs? Not sure they're faster but they do look pretty on the track...
Actually, the Z-club were good enough to invite us to their Ardmore gymkhana a year or two back too.
Can't imagine Matt passing up the chance for a rematch though, and ChrisB practically lives next to the track. No pressure of course...
Update: Matt we cross-posted - good to see you'll be there.
Paul love the turbo pic with the house for sale sign at the back. Why do I get the impression that as a kid your dad sold every house you lived in from under you lol! Sounds like Porsches and flipping property are in your genes lol!
No and missed out on the 964 by 2 hours. Was on the road to view and got a text. I know I had dishonorable intentions so it's karma but I've also saved myself from a heavy car workload.
LOL! You wont find a more passionate Porsche guy than me mate. Im not particularly PC Im sorry so you will have to excuse my frankness. Life way too short for all that pussyfoot stuff IMO I love a good debate however!
I'm just winding you up. If we can't be frank on here then what's the point!
A few pages ago you mentioned the fact it's hard to go backwards in power once you've owned something like a modern 911 Turbo and I think you're right, but if the opportunity presented itself I'd pick up an older NA 911 in a heartbeat (opportunity in terms of my cash flow, not availability of cars, plenty of them around at the moment).
That orange Targa won't leave my thoughts. I think it will jump in price very quickly as the end draws closer, which will make me feel better about not bidding. John's comment also rings true; if you're not working on it yourself the maintenance costs would creep up. I'm sure I have the ability, but don't have the tools so it would be out of the question.
