I hope it arrives quickly as I have the time now to fit it.

Well i'll be ditching my oil cooler as well and moving its replacement to the middle.
I can then use a 996 condenser on each side with a light weight fan instead of the heavy cumbersome stock one.
A/C pump, probably MK5 Golf as I have a bunch of them, very compact and serpentine drive already.
Evaporator, yet to be decided but probably MK5 Golf as well if it can be made to fit. This way all of the problematic components are replaced by lighter more modern parts which should work a lot better.

The electric power steering pump I have is a beauty from Mercedes really compact and only 3 wire.... power, earth and signal. Most modern electric pumps require a canbus input so not suitable for 964.
Mounted in the front to keep the hoses really short and ideal proximity to the battery for power.

No but it was nice to hear about your trip south. Poor weather at the beach over the last few days means our 2 week annual Easter road trip is all locked and loaded. Having three nights in Arrowtown so planning on some very early morning "drives" over you know where in the RS60 :-P

Is that the A series steering pump? I remember reading something about that on the 964 forum. When things break I'd like to explore options to update rather than be a slave to 1990 Porsche technology. AC is definitely an interest. Where is your shop?

Im aiming to get into the 16s with Stu Owers help. On the 20th Im having the 993 set up for Targa when I return and given my limited time in NZ after May 2015 I probably will not track her again for the rest of the year instead using the 991 GT3 in NITT 2015 as the easier, more hassle free option.
The kit takes 14 working days so I won't have it in Herman before February. I'm keen for some seat time in the race cars. How much is the day?

Macca I've sorted the seat slider bar but if you are able to confirm the number of bolts used to secure to the floorpan that would be great. The factory seats had 6 per seat or 3 per rail. 1 at the front and 2 at the rear. I can only manage 2 per rail unless I elongate some holes.

I can access the rear seats myself although it's not a pretty sight lol.
I think you will find that a 2 door car with rear seats fitted with fixed back seats are illegal in NZ.

All the more reason to keep on going to CCS who give me no grief over Herman's harness bar, fixed back seats, or primary bypass.

I was afraid you would ask that LOL!

$265 per head (although subject to the final numbers on the day we may get a refund of 420-$30 per head). Only 15 can be on the track at any one time for insurance purposes - just requires we are all sensible on the day.

John. Your AC has been broke forever now. You are softening in your age!
