It's appreciated by a dollar for every km travelled over the last year. Pity it's not doing the Cape Reinga to SITT to Bluff epic - it could've been knocking on the door of $50K!

I dont know if speed bumps are they answer. Ive had friends had speed bumps put in their road, it creates more noise - cars changing down and eccelerating.

As for the general public on the open roads, why the f@ck cant they do the 2 second rule??? The issue seems to be when you have to pass 3 or 4 cars in a row (pulling big numbers to do so) instead of just picking them off one by one because space isnt avaliable to pull in.

They ran a traffic blitz in my area last year, including putting up "community" billboards all over the place. Probably all caused by Paul driving 7/10ths before he moved.

As I was leaving to drop the car into CCS for the pre-SITT work today, two boys in blue were sitting at the exit of my street on Dominion Rd with what looked like a speed camera on a tripod looking very amused as I rolled up with the car cackling at cold idle.

In general I stick to or below the speed limit in residential, especially where the speed limit is above 50 through heavily populated areas. Surprising number around Northland. Kids present the most risk, for my conscience if nothing else. Also apply extreme care on bridges, especially those in rural areas; too many times I've found myself on top of large pot holes where the bridge joins the road. My car and skeleton don't need the pain inflicted hitting them at speed.

Just saw the photo of the beginning of the Crown Range. This is a bucket list stretch of road for sure. Hoping to get down there at some point this year. Very interested to hear how the SITT goes for you guys in terms of routes taken etc. Also very jealous!

Doug did the same as leader. A wise man.

Don't want to labour the personal traffic situation. I'm just getting to a point where bureaucracy pi$$es me off. I had enough of it in 3rd world countries to last me a lifetime so when I see an issue that is being ignored in my home country, I'll do my best to highlight it and fight it. Just have to be creative. I can keep myself amused for years with the ideas I have.

Ditto. Love your new icon pic BTW - saved the big version earlier. Did you have a polarising filter on, or just get real lucky with the charcoal sky not reflecting in the windscreen? Top shot.

I would have liked my 964 more if it had Fuchs. Couldn't afford them though.

Which one of these hangmen would you ride with?

Truth is that I am the world's worst passenger.

I have ridden with Paul.....on my first familiarity run around HD. Does that count?

Seems like an incentive not to break my car on the SITT!

Yes, Riding along with that gang is definitely a punishment for being Porscheless.

Come on David. Surely it was better than a Queensland amusement park ride with none of the hassle and cost of taking the family LOL!

John. I dont think the Targa is for you. Definitely not as a navigator at any rate!

Doug I saw your car at CCS this morning. Whats that all about?
