Alex. It will be epic. Ive spoken to a few who are trialling your prototypes and they are very pleased. What I love as well is that its discrete and the original tips bolt straight up onto it for a full factory look so the wife never has to know! Its not technically a modification of course because I said I wouldnt mod this car, and if the wife is smart enough to pick up on it I was giving you guys a hand showcasing a new product DownUnder LOL!

Paul. Its trying to look too retro with that chrome window surround fitting. Doesnt work IMO. Try this below I think it works way better!

Doesn't do it for me. Anything up to and including the 993 is ok with a duck, as is the Classic (saw one on Shore Rd last night).

Taking off my Carrera decals tonight as I have new ones arriving and want to put them lower to balance the race numbers. It will be interesting to see if white with Fuchs and ducktail carry as well. Maybe I don't need to replace them when removed.

John. I dont disagree. It doesnt work particularly well with the 991. I didnt think it was overly successful with the 997 either (I generally like my 911s without wings). Personally I think ducktails really look best on the longhoods.

The exception would be the 1973 RS and RSR and the 993RS + 993TT. The wings for those lovely.

The worst design aspect for me of the new GT3 is the wing!

Infact I'm a bit strong when it comes to design signatures. "retro" - runs the risk of becoming "lazy" in design language these days.

What I really love is when someone does something unique.

Here are some of my favourite modified Porsches from a folder of about 1500 I keep! Some of these are from tuners (RUF, Welt, Singer, Stroske, Techart) some are factory Exclusive (Champagne yellow 993 can with Savannah Beige hood and original 1970s Tartan interior, or Butzis only factory original 993 speedster) and some are just the result of some very creative individuals and custom shops. Most are very tasteful I believe - not all teh design elements work but you can see where the "design purity" was envisages and how they tried to follow on with this via execution...

Unique is more and more difficult to achieve AND maintain as the Internet and modern manufacture makes it easy to copy or do small runs.

No parts have arrived and I don't have an alternator for the C4 so I'm in destruction mode. Not sure at all about leaving the decals off.

In those shots I love the minimalist plain white and black look without the red decal. Just saying.

I tend to agree with Doug. The red Carrera decal makes it look busier....maybe if the race numbers were red it would lift it a bid (I still like a bit of red to be seen against white and black to make it "pop").

Maybe if it was lower? I need to see it on the move. Joke on me is that the only car working is the one that wet itself on Monday.

Decal is too high in that pic. I have red and black decals coming, so I have three choices.
