Hi Peter. This one looks like the slightly older sister of my car - also yellow with blue interior ,and has nice low ks (mine's just ticking over the 100k now). Sorry, no history for you but you may or may not be aware of the 2002 facelift/upgrade enhancements. Might be worth some bargaining points at least. I believe that on the convenience side these included:
- a glovebox
- cupholders
- Bose sound system - 12 speaker + sub
- new design center console
- remote trunk release (in some 2001s already - as in this Giltraps one)
- Self-dimming mirrors and rain sensor
- better ventilation
- upgraded alarm
On the performance and safety front:
- x50 450HP (vs 420) factory option becomes available
- Belt pretensioner and belt-force limiter
- hollow spoke alloys (some 2001s have these too - just feel to see if the back of the spokes are rounded like the front).
- The 2002 Tiptronic transmission is also upgraded from the release model, but the changes were brought in sometime prior (shifts better and wheel switches also work with tranny in Automatic mode)
- and a strengthened chassis:
In short Peter, while the 2002 is a bit safer, a bit more comfortable and looks a bit more modern inside, the smile on your dial would likely be just as wide in this. Happy bargaining if you go for it!

It has a great spec - short shift kit, LSD, switchable sports exhaust, Gen 2 DFI engine (no IMS) plus all the modern creature comforts for fast touring and daily driving. Had a long chat to them about the car and history, underbody condition etc etc. It will have a full service, check for anything needed under existing factory warranty and 4 new Michelin's put on before being chucked in a container with the plan to land pre SI tour... fingers crossed!
Not as long as Macca had to wait but sure it will still feel like an eternity.

PSS10 is ~ $4,500 landed. Where does the rest of the cost come from?
I've been pondering on my track run in the Turbo 3.6. I think it could benefit from the new tyres I have and maybe transplant my RUF 965 shocks to it from the C4 and go PSS10 on the C4. May also transfer the windscreen from the Turbo to the C4 and go brand new on the Turbo.

Nice one Pete. MANUAL he he. Good move. That is an amazing driving car. Look forward to chasing you around HD. Unfortunately for me you have a few more HP than mine assuming its 310hp (vs 295 for my 987 Boxster S 3.4)
At Mt Cotton Porsche driving school in 2005 and 2006 out of all of the cars (they didn't have turbo, gt2 or gt3 there), the 987.1 Cayman S manual was my favourite drive.
