No, it's pretty much Industrial strength. The cabin ergonomics are coming together. Sports seats and the Mod 07 wheel give better feel and secure seating. I have new bushes for the gear shift and will replace at least the exposed one soon. The AIM is perfectly placed for reading predictive lap times. It's all good.

How do you guys get on with spacers when going for a WOF? I was under the impression you need an LVV cert.

New wheels on, shod with my bargain Dunlop DZ03Gs, ready for the weekend (excuse the cellphone quality pic):

I'll be on road tyres with PSM, ABS and 4WD and you'll still likely pass me...so go with track tyres!

Don't know. Never tried it so far. I get my WOF done at CCS. Get a free car wash at the same time.

Nice wheels. What tread is left on the tyres?

Having a bob both ways by going with the Toyo 888's, they work OK in the wet. The Hankooks are a dry tire only.

I'll be gutted if it's dry...............

Ah, will be interesting, they might turn a bit of a blind eye. Kind of like me getting a WOF running -3.0 camber after they change the rules to only allow 0.5 degrees deviation from factory specs.

Quite a bit lighter than the standard ones, didn't bother weighting them as they've got such different tyres on them. There's 3-4mm all around. It's more a question of how many heat cycles they've seen, as many of these R compound tyres get slippery after they heat cycle out (which is often well before the tread is worn down).

Ive never had a WOF issue in 15 years with spacers, cat delete, -2.5 camber. Used the same crowd (CCS) twice annually since te car was new 20 years ago.

I cant see spacers being an issue. Porsche sold a number of 997 cariants with spacers as psrt of teh package (think speedster, Sport Classic some special edition boxster, 993 C2S etc).

Tricky situation. My lot is a seat, half cage, adjustable platform suspension and non factory road belt stalk mount. So far I come up with full compliance. I've been prepared all the way along to get a LVVC but only if nescessary, but the word seems to be that I don't need it. Buggered if I'd turn up at a VTNZ though. I'm considering rear 15mm spacers so I'd be interested where these fall. Interesting challenge for the Porsche specialist I end up going with long term - WOF or not?

Track for me - with fingers crossed. What do you reckon the time diff is wet vs dry?

Biggest problem I have is the air con has just stopped so the car misting up will be an issue.

Ive run bolt on spacers 10mm no issue with WOF. Key is to have the same guy WOF it every time. What does a VNZ station know about accepted noise and specification of a 20 year old 911 (could be factory tolerance back in the day but they wouldnt know).

I have a WOF next week with Cage, R compound, aggressive camber, cat bypass etc so Ill let you know....

Blind Freddie could tell your noise levels aren't within factory tolerance
