You're right - didn't look at the engine photos and went straight off the description which says 3600cc. That's no 964 lump.

Paul - better take the C3 back a few years and make a few $$'s!

Interesting car. I saw it from a distance in CHCH when we were visiting Autothority. It was in the upstairs show room, could be seen via a window and looked bloody brilliant. Colour is great. Mentioned it to Wayne and he commented that they looked after it and he knew it but nothing more. Looks like a great vintage tarmac rally car. Pricey but if original numbers given its RHD and assuming its the rod it looks like then its a bargain. Shame the advert is seriously third rate. If anyone here is interested they should call Wayne & Glynn and get in touch direct with the owner as they could save alot of money and get the full low down.

Interesting range of cars in the showroom including a US import 993....

Macca solution is use pdk - no heel toe, no speed issues
I reckon with the use you guys are talking the gearbox will need attention every 2 years. Unless you just have the patience to slow the shifts down and don't worry about the times or the guy in front. afterall is fun right?
Graeme, good to see you yesterday. Walking around Lambton Quay and the waterfront yesterday reminded me what a great city Wellington is on a nice day.

I have leased a 2 bedroom apartment in the Queens Wharf complex which I move in to on Friday, so all visitors welcome. and it will be empty in the weekends for anyone who wants to stay in Wellington.

Nothing much escapes you does it Paul! Heres the other one I had commissioned in 2011 before stone chips and track rash. Both were printed on art stock A2 and framed...

I was wrong. Definitely a 964 lump as has twin distributors.

Some of the smaller stuff I get done elsewhere since I have found race shops and even Ferrari independents hard to beat for decent pricing on things like oil changes and pad changes (with rotor clean) - basically the kind of stuff I used to do more of myself on the earlier 928 before the kids came along. I still research the jobs and provide proper pads/Porsche approved fluids/filters etc.

Apologies if I've missed others but I'm sure someone will add them to the list.
I would advise against Giltraps, from personal experience. They have monkeys, not mechanics, and they are rough.
I hear Forzaworks are good. I met the main man man a couple of times and seems on to it. Europacific speaks for itself.

There is also the crowd out at the Airport - Paul's used them as have a few others, cheaper than the others and haven't heard anything bad...

The tires on my 993 are Nitto Invo's and I love them. I've used my 993 daily for the last 2 years and do a mix of fast and slow driving, dry and wet, straight line and sideways action

Prior to the Invo's I had Yokohama's which were good as well and before that I've run Bridgestones and Pirelli's, N rated etc. The only reason I went for the Invo's was from the advice of my mate who works for YHI New Zealand. I did get them for an awesome price but price was not my deciding factor. My mate races superkarts and is involved in the motorsport scene with all types of race cars and after giving me the technical run down side wall specs bla bla bla it really came down to the fact that I trusted his knowledge..... and they've been great.
