Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Steve was the first port of call, nothing to hand new or used
I asked about driveability, but Dean is not keen to release the car with a faulty part. There's also the question of the clutch. For some reason the parts (RS) are giving a very short throw and he's investigating a solution, a threaded adjustable rod.

Sounds like the pressure plate, that might be causing the slave issue too. Oh well no use me speculating Dean knows what he's doing!

If anyone is vaguely interested in this idea....?
I can see myself leaving the 993 in USA with Rothsport Racing for a 420bhp slide valve 3.9 conversion after (hopefully) winning on the tables in Vegas LOL!

Yes, and Steve supplied these parts so I can't see what could've gone wrong. Dean checked with Steve and was told this was normal with the RS kit. Of course I can't help with what it was like pre replacement as I drove it for such a short period so long ago...

Mmmm. With the 993 the set up is identical (stock vs RS). I know that for fact/experience and Im pretty sure it should be the same for 964 (same parts) but cant vouch for C4 variant. Anyway Im sure it will all get sorted out...

You thinking about transporting the cars up there? Hell by 2014 I could be living in the US anyway the way things are going so why not!

Matt. Ive driven "The Ring". What month are you going? My best advice if just going for laps in mid summer 6.30pm kick off for the summer evening sessions mid week. These are sparsely attended. Weekends are a grid lock in summer. I was utterly unprepared never having played the track on PlayStation or really bothered to watch much of it on video. I would recommend doing both in this day and age before actually hitting the blacktop. Either way the only way to learn it properly is to do it repeatedly. Watch out for bike and keep right if something fast comes up behind....great experience though and Im looking forward to going back sooner than later!
My plans are to do a recce on the Targa Florio route this year in Sicily in December. Id like to participate in the event in 2018...

I think summer time evening sessions will be over by then. The simulator is better preparation than none. If you look at some of the well know outfit that do training sessions on the Ring like Scuderia S7 youll note they break the track into around 5 stages (3-5km long) and spend the day working groups repeatedly through these before the second day session where they can run full laps. My suggestion would be to follow their format and use the simulator in the same fashion. Unless your memory is photographic trying to take the whole course on board full lap at a time is hard....

You guys are putting the Hex on me, hope I can stay lucky for a long time. Mind you, I'm sinking it all on fancy bits I don't really need so there is no room for a repair budget.
