Hopefully fun all around and all cars are behaving. Just prepped mine for next weekend but am nervous about readiness for sprints as I ordered new rotors in over a week ago and they're not en route yet. Made the mistake of ordering some non-essential parts at the same time and those have held up despatch apparently.

That won't help Walter.

A good couple of days but hot, hot, hot. I'm putting freezer slabs in my suit to cope.

First two sessions today. 1.22 minimum bar. Paul, Macca and I were black flagged, but we were more disciplined in the afternoon session. Two more sessions tomorrow. More heat.

What's the addy? With 2KCup, I can see their FB landing page, just not go deeper.

Feel for you John, and others sans air con. Must be bugger if those slabs are too cold - your kidneys or whatever would be all prepped for donation by the time you come off track! I might take some freezer slabs along too though for between sessions at least. Tricky working out the optimal race aircon strategy for sprints with the Turbo as it also intercools the fuel going to the engine. Will probably run it on the grid but turn it off for the race.

Results from the first run. Must be C2 fever. Macca and Paul had it as well. Roll of dishonour. If anything I was worst running 5 seconds faster this my nominated time.

Sorry Walter didn't realize you weren't a FB'r. Try a search for 'air cooled nz' on FB I think it's a public group so you may be able to see some media there.

Porsche Club and RSG are closed groups so you would need to request to join before viewing content

Facebook is definitely the place to go. Hundreds of pics and videos. You need to friend us all too as many just post straight onto their timelines. The benefit of FB is ease and reliability of posting pics, videos and likeing, commenting, and sharing others posts so you get heaps of content. Chris B had an altercation with another car and Dan and the team were trying to panel beat the 944 and get it fixed overnight for tomorrow.

Good luck with the prep work Walter. Some of the less experienced and non-track hardened cars in our group are falling over with mechanicals, esp brakes whilst the regulars are so far having no problems touch wood.

Ummm, yeah, dishonour. Or an RSG 1,2,3

Congrats to the official top 3 too, including Doug.

Some pics here Walt. https://goo.gl/photos/PNup8yo9REooVN847

Great day out as a spectator, but definitely a little jealous of those who are driving, even if they are getting stern talking a to for misbehaving

Thanks Jake - looks like a great festival again. Off to our delayed family Christmas now down in Hamilton (with the prodigal son from Aussie) so will give you guys a wave as we go past.

Guys - I have just realised I left my helmet at the track - white open face under the easy-up.

Did anyone collect this by any chance?

Cheers
Paul

Who actually won the regularity prize? And which of the 'non-excluded' RSG'rs placed highest??

The event originally only had a 'spirit' award. This went to Richard Endeen for persevering despite a breakdown.

Terry was trying to get another award for the most regular. Looks like it didn't happen.

We don't know definitely but it looks like 'diligent' Doug would have won that. Looking at race monitor for the last trial he was nailing it. Probably the only honest 7/10ths he's ever done!

If I had managed to stay the course I would have gone for the doctor in the last trial a la Pel
