Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Footage from Targa Highlands (this is the Mt Buller stage) last weekend. First time Ive seen a 991 GT3 in Targa comp but I suspect this will be a more common place thing in the future. 7.30m in they catch and overtake 2015 GT Shelby Mustang. Top speed on the straights 240kmph although they managed 270kmph later in the day. Obviously a faster format than our NZ version. Car and driver posted fastest hill climb of the day Mt Buller, 1st in class and 2nd overall (first stage wet thus couldnt compete with the 4WD winner). 944 Turbo in 3rd makes 500bhp and very competitive. This was Reeves first ever targa in the car. Stock other than geo, brake fluids, Recaro seats, factory front cage and pads. He has the Akra evolution full exhaust fitted. Tyres were stock. Once he dials out some understeer and becomes a bit more experienced in the car I think it will be a winner. Quinn 7th in new McLaren 650S. Hell be upgrading to 675LT later this year I suspect...he needs to start buying Porsche!
Three Porsche in top 20 (GT3=2, 944T=3 & GT4=16).

With a spare 15 minutes today I made a puller for removing 964 / 993 fans from their housing, seeing as John McM currently needs one it was a good enough excuse to do it.
Seems to me that 964's have studs in the hub of the fan and 993 have threaded holes, certainly makes it easy to remove.

I look forward to using that John. Pro coat reckon my valve covers could be finished by Friday so I could get the fan and surround to them when picking up the covers.
Meanwhile I managed to get the pulley bolt torqued to 235Nm. The reaction bar on the 3:1 torque multiplier was too much for my teenager to hold so I fitted a pipe to it and wedged it under the workbench. How people do this without the proper pulley holder is beyond me.

I just pushed a spouse organised BBQ to the 20th so prefer the 19th. Btw not much jet lag from Vanuatu so Macca just needs to harden up
