Jase. Look at the bright side. Will only take 10 hours to return ;-). Best of luck with that...

If anyone is interested in a "spirited drive" over Xmas let me know by PM. I'm in town from 19th for a month and have no appointments other than RSG HD on 11 Jan and 15-17 Festival. Id like to experiment with some fresh routes over the quite holiday period. I have an excellent Northland one we used on the Canonball in 2011 which I wouldnt mind revisiting (its 600km!)...
All but sorted on the box. An agonising two weeks plus to get the gasket set by USPS. Design 911 win the freight race hands down, generally 3 or 4 days. Rather bizarrely the Spring plates came the same way and were delivered today without GST etc. No dodgy 'gift' values so don't know what happened there. Just the engine carrier reinforcement to arrive now.

I'm real,y not sure how much I can get done and when. If I pick up the box I can get it back in the car within a day or so, but I have yet to do the nose bearing, RMS, valve covers etc. travel again will fast forward me to late November. There is a possibility I will still be going by late Dec but I hope not.

yes that's the one. and I thought it was only hotrodders who made destroker kits!

$130k sticker on that one in Sydney last week. absolutely top condition although no rebuild even with 160km! a very unusual colour that looks better in the photos. their black on black 930 turbo is a sight to behold though.

You'd think after giving it a respirator & a tart up they might even get the rear badge on in the right position for 130k aye? Didn't even bother to replace the badge....

Porsches seem to be as rare as leak free 964s in Australia so I can see a diffident pricing view to NZ but still that's way up there.

Not sure I want you near Herman but you are very right there, that badge is way off the correct place.

In all seriousness, even You won't find anything apart from a slightly altered bumper exhaust outlet. The rest is immaculate.

Not many Hiluxes. A lot of Utes, Commodores, Navaras and landcruisers. I'm in heartland NSW. No room for the exotic here.

John, are you using all OEM for the suspension components you're refreshing? Or some AM kit? Looking into options for my car, but read up on the LVV details and am now second guessing myself due to not wanting to have to get a cert.

The car came with a whole lot of RUF parts that I'm 99% sure were fitted in Singapore prior to its arrival in 1998. I can't see any LVV cert so I suspect they put a high brake light on and the rest of the car conformed as is. That is reasonable as the function is the same as the factory setup.

The shocks are rebranded Bilstein HD, with unknown valving. I've put H&R Turbo springs on them. I have RUF anti roll bars and am now changing out the Spring plates. Those control the camber etc in the rear. The Porsche part is $$$$$, whereas the Tarett ones are a 'bargain' at $1,500 landed. Depending on which orientation I fit them in I will be able to get up to 3 degrees of camber.

So all up I have a factory like setup, albeit with non factory parts.

John. $1500 seems expensive for what goes into those spring plates. An the factory prices are even more. Mad isn't it.

For an aggressive track set up on the 993 I found -3.2F and -2.6R worked well with camber. Id imagine similar with the 964. The magic again is in the toe and castor settings. Sounds like those spring plates will get you there at the rear.
