Another Kiwi
Hello fellow Kiwi's
It's great to see that other Kiwi's visit this site other than myself.
I live in Auckland and own a 1983 911SC (low mileage garage queen), which I don't get to drive nearly as much as I should.
For those of you that visited Ellerslie on Sunday I'm sure you'll agree that PCNZ put on a great show. I've been on the organising committee for some years now and I'm also one of the judges, so it's always encouraging when we receive positive feed back about the event.
Cheers

Macca,
I know, I need to get it out of the garage more often.
Love the 993, definitely one of my favorites, that's for sure.
The studio photo's were taken at work (Grey Lynn) - let me know when you're car is ready and I'll organise a photoshoot for you.

Awebb.............gorgeous gorgeous hunk of SC!
And yes, as usual PCNZ had the biggest stand with the largest turnout. Amazes me that there are so many 356's locally.

RSK. Definately a replica.
The 993 RS is the ex Toyshop ex HK ex Maritime blue car that was sold at turners auction in 09.
Im familiar with the red speedsters x 3 but not yet seen the Rapid in the flesh. Not sure on that roof line...
Thanks so much for the pics Nick.

Hi there,
New Zealander living in Japan. I am contemplating the purchase of a Carrera GT. Would any member on this thread know if this car is able to be serviced in NZ?
The car, if purchased, would be in the South Island once repatriated at some point in future.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
mbg

Hi mbg. Two Carrera GT here already. One imported ex USA as they were very reaonable buying 18 months ago and the USD is weak. Both restricted ownership proposition being LHD and on exemption plates (check LTSA site for restrictions to re sell within 5 years etc). It is definately doable but there will be a number of hoops to jump through including compliance. I recall quite some drama in getting the second one into NZ complied for the streets.
I have no idea about the Sth Island but both owners have their CGT shipped to Continentals Porsche in Auckland for service work. I know they have the diagnostics gear to handle it, youd be best ordering your own parts via Sunset in USA for the CGT, and the CCS team in Auckland do of coursehave some (limited) experience with CGT (mainly routine) service work Id imagine. Call Dean - Service Manager CCS Porsche Auckland for more info....

Hi Macca,
Yes, that's my car on TM. I'm not terribly fussed whether or not it sells as it would be a difficult, if not virtually impossible to replace. However, if someone is lucky enough to buy it then I would consider moving towards a 930 of 993.
Cheers,
Ash
