I caught up with Macca in Auckland. The car is stunning. A work of art, I doubt there is a more sorted 993 in New Zealand. It looks better than when it rolled off the production line 16 years ago. I will see if I can upload the video I took of it.

Hi All.
NZ 911. Im offshore based but make it back to Auckland to visit family a few times a year....
John. Happy New Year! Thanks for the compliments. This is what its all about. One of the reasons for owning a P car. The comraderie. Just love it - and your classic 3.6T too! Good health, till we meet again!

Macca, here's the video. Hope you're ok with it being posted. If not, then tell me and I'll delete it. Cheers John.

Hey Macca, you would be more than welcome to join us on a run one day. The next one won't be until early February i think. We used to get together about once every three months but now everyone is keen on 6 weekly jaunts.........and rapidly running out of places to go.
If you and John are in the country when a run is on (check the website) feel free to join us.
Cheers,
Nick

Interesting seeing the size of the Panamera next to the 993. Maccas car certainly does sound nice. I have Fabspeeds on mine and I like it. Its quite loud but more interestingly a VERY different sound to Maccas 993. I prefer his as it sounds more crisp and refined. Mines just loud and obnoxious. If I get time I'll do a video of it and post it up.

The Panamera is a barge and even uglier in the flesh LOL!
Thanks Nick - would love to take you and the guys/gals up on that but alas I will be gone for the feb date but will keep in mint the April one. I hope this glorious weather holds. We had some excellent driving adventures to Whakatane this trip and out to Ohope around the back roads in the 993 and a friends 993TT. Supurb fun! The CannonBall 2011 run was also alot of fun too (needed 4 seats so the M5 was pressed into service). The porsche guys should do that annual event.
Cheers

If you're running out of places to go, I can suggest some pretty cool driving roads around here. It might take 3 or so hours to get here but it would be worth it. Accomodations not too expensive either. I would come on your drives but it's the Auckland traffic that puts me off a bit........... a lot.
But I can work out some great roads up towards TeKaha. Happy to help.
Cheers
