It was for sale a few months ago, is this the same seller, or is this the new owner selling up???
The LHD to RHD was only half done. Not a full firewall out job like it should be. The car would only ever have value if it was taken back to LHD but that gives you a LHD car and no doubt $20k less in your pocket. This is certainly do able but maybe in 15 years it would be viable. But as a beater with no expectations - all good. I fear though that there is 15-20k hiding in there with deferred maintenance waiting to be spent - then you are at 50k for an imperfect ex lefty......can't make this add up in my mind either. I look at my SC and see $20k waiting but at least the engine and box are sound and rust is not a playing a leading role yet. This 3.2 could be the same but it certainly would need a good looking at.

I gotta spend less time working and more time looking for bargains like this. Completely missed it.

Yes Jamie must bee glued to Trademe. He spots all the listing first!

It would have made a good buy for Mark H as a back up car!

This multiple Porsche ownership is becoming an illness, or are you coughing one up?

Another busy night for me in the garage. I broke my valve adjust cherry. 12 new spark plugs in and valve covers off to Dave for some Solidworks magic.

Also received my belt tensioner gauge and some speed bleeders. They will go in the diff locks so I can bleed the locks without needing a Hammer.

I love the boost, ideally tracking the 930 makes me the happiest, sadly this is not really sustainable. Biggest thing is having fun and whilst I won't be fastest, ill have a big smile.

Newer cars obviously pull the lap times, with the range of cars at track days battles are everywhere, doesn't matter what car, someones gonna be quicker.

The SC will be a good car to learn in and im genuinely excited, the steering is very light, very different to both Turbos.

It's has been owned by Mark Glidden for about 10 years, he purchased through RS Consulting via a guy Andrew Justice, Marks retiring and doesn't have the time to race anymore, he's looking to pick up a stock SC road car however.

It's not a straight forward car, it was imported from the USA in 1981 and converted, conversion looks fairly tidy, unless there's a safety issue this doesn't bother me as it will never be a road car again. In a way it's a positive, don't need to worry about how im using/what im doing affects value. There's a few receipts from Europacific, had quick chat with Steve about the car, id been warned off other cars but seemed positive about this one.

At the end of the day its buyer beware but the car is pretty tidy, track ready, warrantable, has good ownership/receipted history, engine was pretty dry, drove well, straight, and fit for what im after.

It came with most of the parts removed from the car, plus sets of new pads & starter motor.

At the price point im pretty pleased and looking forward to chasing other air cooled's this summer.
