RSG RPC Mk1 Update Dave and I hope to have the car in Kohi just after Midday.

No one has mentioned attending Playday before 19/7 so we're expecting to have at least a couple of weeks to get fluids, brakes improved etc. If that is not the case please tell us e.g. If you were thinking of taking it to HD on 5/7.

Assuming 19/7 is first up, six of you should be able to get a time in: Chris M, Dave, Doug, Macca, Paul and Sam. No pressure but the fastest recorded time for the car is 1.28.18 on it's existing tyres etc. https://www.race-monitor.com/Results...ode=qualifying . Good results in the one hour race as well
https://www.race-monitor.com/Results/Session/4937615

BTW I think there's a split second view of the car is this news piece

On a busier day when more of us are there we could enter the car in the normal playday group as well as the RSG session to get more track time.

Can you enter a car with multiple drivers and only pay one entry fee? That might allow some people to pop in for a session.

Shared drives are on, I guess it is just the car that is entered for a session and as long as it goes out in that it doesn't matter who is driving

Looking for guidance on brake fluid and brake pads.
The seller recommended EBC.
What other fluids are out there that offer good performance but not at top shelf prices?

Need to get that and any proposed tyre change sorted before the board starts otherwise the would/could/should excuses will start appearing.

Car seemed reasonably competitive with el cheapo pads and tyres. Wonder what it could do with a bigger budget and a race driver? Maybe sub 1:25?

John. Those times are they prior to the engine being changed out? Just wondering if it was the same power unit...

Not sure when they changed the engine. Said they thought they had blown a head gasket but turned out to be a water pump losing its impeller blades and overheated. Same as Chris B and Matt G's issue at the enduro. This car is a racer. Doubt they down powered with the new engine. The owner is a blunt type. If he wasn't racing at HD he would be doing fast n furious on the street. Rough and ready.

Bit of a hurry up for any RSG group members still posting in the 20s when an 1800 piece of "junk" can circulate at 127-128 with road tyres!!!!!

As my non PC Aussie golfing partners used to say, "it's a Cathy Freeman", an ugly runner, so certainly won't impress when you see it, but it drives well. The benefit of being a race car.

As for the 1.28, if the owners driving was true to his talking, it was running at the ragged edge. Legal hooning.

I'll try not to monster Macca in the GT3.

Being it was 2kcup, the engine should have been a straight replacement for the stock unit. Better rubber & pads opportunistically bought should help it improve over previous times. Guessing they are OK, and as much as I love rough and ready, we should check seat/harness mounts.

I'd second EBC yellow on a lighter car.
