I know the owner Peter quite well. Hes a top flight engineer and I believe has a business connection to Wevo. That is probably one of the worlds few h2O engine in a long hood. But the chassis needed extending to fit the gearbox and engine in. Monumental engineering feat and not for the faint of $heart$. Id say you would be looking at 3-400K nzd. From what I have been told from Peter is a bit of a handful. Not daily drive-able really and definitely not for pressing on in wet weather!

Much as I admire the single-mindedness of purpose & engineering integrity of that build, to me it's quite OOT. Subtle it isn't.
I'm a fan of the "Sleeper". Retention of the the stock look inside & out as far as possible whilst thoroughly re-engineering the vehicle's underpinnings.
Once you have a cage up front you need to wear a helmet, once you reduce access to the rear or indeed put bars across the door openings you drastically reduce practicality. Likewise compromise the boot space or sound deadening & you're on the path to a "single use" car - in which case you might as well go out & buy a dedicated race car.
I think the beauty of the GT3 is its duality of purpose - it carefully treads that very fine line between track performance & road civility.
If you're a lover of understatement - then you'll not want to advertise any deviation from the norm whilst still enjoying the benefits of said deviancy!
Given this perspective below is a link to one of my favourite builds:

Paul, i'm guessing you are looking at treating an older car? Some new leathers have coatings that will reject this sort of process and will be a waste if time.
Here is a good how to

If you do use a plastic bag make sure it doesn't have any lettering on it as i've heard it can transfer

Good find Jake. I didn't think to look at TM. Old school website for an old school product.

Paul. I think Peter was just pulling our leg with that "Targa Tour Last Minute Discount" header on his email flier today. I went to the sight and the cost is $5300+GST + $300 medical levy and no mention of a discount (after all it would have the other participants up in arms). In a way Im hoping the numbers are low so he will get the message. Ron & Patsy are taking one car, now John H, Chris B, Dough H, Macca, Richard S or Roger S this time. I wonder if he will notice...
