I took a look at the 928 GTS at Maserati today. Very nice for sure. Has some interesting flares on the front guards. Ex Japan and just arrived. For them to take it on you would assume it is a good one.
And along the road on Broadway in front of Farmers is Continental Cars Ferrari. A converted retail shop so no room for anything but half a dozen new cars. The old used nails are in a lock up in Nuffield st.

928gts is a seriously good car. Steering wheel here is awful (imo), guard wheel arch seems to be a Japanese thing as is lack of side strips. Vinyl has come undone on hatch between rear seats.
Other things to look for include operation of rear hatch release (electric), rear wing bolts ( mine rusted internally - had to drive to Holland for a replacement wing) . Steering rack is $$, as is Bosch motronic system. A few other niggles, BUT you can sit all day at 200+. Once had wife sleeping @ 260 between Berlin & Cologne. Got world's slowest(?) speed camera fine - 35 km/h in a 30 zone, cruise control min is 40!

+ 1 hour too cheap
+ 4-24 hours pretty standard buying time for an air cooled.
I want to follow the same route as you. I have a very large 4 car garage but quite a low ceiling so a hoist of any sort is out. I am using customwood cabinets and benchtops I made 20 years ago but want to do a proper fit out, paint the floor etc. Stainless steel bench tops and metal cabinetry. I'll be interested in your research.
The plywood idea sounds pretty good though.

Can't help really, other than to say I'd always liked to get a custom setup from a joiner done, probably be much the same price as buying specialist garage cupboards. Plus the kitchen place we use has a new plywood carcass which is claimed to have a very long life when compared to your chipboard or mdf carcasses that most use.

^^^ What he said - use a kithcen joinery company. I even use them for wardrobes as you get better quality sliding doors and drawers etc.

I actually hope it slows. Continuing rises will mean ordinary blokes are going to miss out on the good stuff in the future. I don't want to have to be buying a 996 because I can't afford an air sucker

But you don't need to contemplate buying one in the future... Just hang on to one of the ones you have! If you can....

I say hock your homes up, cash in your kiwisaver and buy as many as you can. You will be able to stop work in 3 years time, or hang out for that NZ rich listing if you are prepared to wait 5 years..................
