The high end Escorts Jake mentioned and the top Bells have pretty much identical electronics and core performance, with the difference being in their available feature sets, defaults and options. Same company owns both now and I reckon they have a slight performance edge over Valentine, plus they're not angled away from NZ drivers to favour the left seat.

I've asked this same question twice. It said sold before the ad was removed. Would like to know for how much. If it went for even a distance from asking it would be evidence of a massive leap in a year.

Did it reach closer to $140,000? Who knows. My conversation with Max about the Turbo 3.6 felt like it was a fishing expedition on his part. A salesman through and through. Get as much information as you can to help your situation and give as little as possible. I imagine he guards real sale prices closely.

Any high end Escort that can work in the drivers seat of a Porsche is something special.
Ain't that the truth..
sadly absolute power is wasted in NZ, unless you track it... and the next thing you know you are looking for 1/2 a degree of camber so the track wheels/tyres fit the guards, and your high end escort fails against an instant on radar etc....
I think Maccas idea of corrupting yourself on the Euro roads, where they applaud high speed has much merit, then return to NZ and follow the camper vans.. took the T for a burst up to Marsden to sight my new project.. the only burst was my fu fu valve as I caught up to yet another 75kph camper.... at least with the Santa Fe there is minor excitement as one pushes the boundaries on an ill advised overtake.. the T takes that away too

I'm probably not alone in wondering sometimes about a few of my more shapely and talented exes but perhaps I should apply for a study grant. Or just spend time boatsitting. According to one of Uber's data crunchers, the highest average ratio of visiting females to visiting males in the weekends was found in the marina district - at least for their San Francisco example. And no points for guessing in which parts of town the ratio was the other way around. Uber also use reported crime stats to help predict travel demand and pre-position drivers!
On a more serious note - Macca, the response is too slow of course but the wheels are moving for Vanuatu. NZ networking outfits are gathering up as much Ubiquiti internetworking gear as they can to get Vanuatu data connected again, and today's evening news had a couple of choppers with telecomms technicians heading your way. Drop in the bucket probably but at least more help is still coming.

Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Our annual Easter road trip begins today. This year we are breaking it up into stages. Today we head to Martinborough in the RS60 for 3 nights during which I get lots of seat time then Jan and our friends drag me around a bunch of fancy homes and gardens tomorrow on a fundraising event. Might do the run out to Castle Point again. Sunday we leave the car in my son Jeremy's garage in Wellington and fly back for a week at work. Then on the Saturday we fly to Wellington to begin the South Island leg for 9 days ending back in Wellington and flying home again. What I haven't planned is flying back to Wellington for a leisurely run back to Auckland over a long weekend. Yell out if you have any creative boys fun ideas about that.
Last Friday I swapped out the factory stereo head unit for my custom setup and now have 30gb of music on an iPod inside the head unit. Much better. It also cranks out much better sound quality than the bog std Porsche unit with the benefit of blue tooth for phone.
The car has a small aircon leak we haven't been able to locate yet. A month ago CCS tested it and topped the gas up with a dye mix. A week later I took it back to see if the aircon man could spot the leak. Not yet. Then last night it started making the noise you get when the gas pressure gets low. Kicking myself now not getting it looked at last week. The noise is a nuisance (like water running through pipes) but stops when you turn the aircon off. At least it's a cooler time of year aye.

Hope that Aircond is not a major. I just had to change the evaporator unit in my X5 and its a dash out job - 2.5k all up and over 800 for the part.
