Its a cracker - has run a few PCNZ races this year - the car clearly has even more potential. Sean always does things well so it will be presented well. Real shame he's selling it.

Just realised - its the one 2 cars back in my avatar - I'm not saying whether that was the first lap or last lap!

Doug said Lola kept him busy keeping up and I can imagine why. Even the PDK on sports mode couldn't always keep up with the selection I wanted. Might have to use the paddles/switches. Particularly when coming into a corner where I want faster down changes to ready for the power out phase. Either that or leave it in manic sports plus mode.

Had I been in Herman I may not have enjoyed it as much as no choice but to run at that speed. Maybe more aircooled runs to keep it fun.
Doug then went from the sublime to the ridiculous having picked me up in Pirongia (big thanks ) we endured an hour and a half from Bombay getting home. Inching forward in a manual = no fun at all.

On the positive side Lola is looking amazing and sounds great. The car in front 'did a Doug' and took a pic of us out its sunroof

Got to see the Orange T - didn't take any pics as didn't want to spoil the next reveal. Looks amazing in the flesh - that colour will just pop once all the trim is in.

That traffic was building when I dropped Chris B off. I went the back way to Redoubt Rd and it was flowing freely by the time I rejoined the motorway at the Botanic Gardens. Have to say that commuter driving is where PDK shows its versatility. Can't wait to see the Orange T. Will it be ready before Paul's 993?

Not only that but he has 2 variations on the plate theme, toy911 and 911toy (or something similar)

It was fun being near the tail end of the modern fast group of about 5 in a 25 year old air cooled girl. John is right, I had to work pretty hard to keep in touch with them and it was a lot of fun. I did only go 7/10ths though as I was worried of pushing too hard and pushing my luck when I haven't had much seat time in Lola since August. Only one minor squirmy moment. Shes much louder and lower burble with the new exhaust configuration of primary and secondary gpipe bypass.

Sorry I didn't take one photo on the drive. Too busy hanging on as John says. Must try harder (with camera)

The white 3.2 Carrera listed looks pretty tidy. Also the 928 GTS looks good in Silver, strangely one of those cars I look at and say "one day".

I'd lowball the leftie, slip in a big VW donk, run a stinger out back, sack it a few inches and leave it on steelies.
Or do a 911T with a big mowtah!
What is the equivalent word to bogan for a person who likes hotrodded Porsches?

You're not the only one - that GTS is lovely - rare in that condition. Can imagine some relaxed cruising!

Ah - thought it was listed at $8k - see it's an auction. Makes more sense. So you'll be the 'phatvw' that's got the leading bid then...?

And to your last question, the phrase you're looking for is..... 'Dave'

Big day for interesting Porsches on trademe.

The white 3.2 is underpriced, the lefty conversion blue 3.2 would be about right and the 928 GTS is lovely. $42.5 is an interesting price that will test the market to see if 928's are on the rise yet.

You know, if you were about to buy a $45k euro daily driver and wear $7k a year in depreciation, that 928 is a viable alternative.

Not me, but I'd like to own it.
