Probably 3500-4500 ish, not including stripping / reasembling the car as I'll do that to control the finished product, most painters lack attention to detail which is something I excell at.

At some stage I'll pick your brain for options on Herman.

The only way is to take everything off which can be removed, even down to the doors if you want to paint the jambs.
Glass out etc, the thing you want to avoid is masking anything.....

I'm good at taking things apart. Though I sometimes struggle with getting them back together quickly

The only part that worries me is the glass. I have the contact for that now so would farm that out. Sounds like a Winter project along with my gearbox. Lucky I have the R to keep me mobile.

Thanks for the heads up Matt. Can't resist seeing the P1 again, and the F40 alone would get me out there. On Turner's stats page on the cars I thought they'd sandbagged the F40 at 4.1 0-100, but I see Ferrari rated them at that despite some doing it in 3.8 or so. If I cross paths with a Viper green GT3 RS down the track I'll have a fair idea who is in it too - bold colours suit race cars.

Thanks for that. A bit of a weird article with the talk about the rear end cutting loose, refreshingly un-PC! Still, I suppose it is the Timaru Herald

I'm thinking about getting a couple of these spring perches made up for the front of my car , would anyone else be interested? Im thinking a couple of sets would make them a bit cheaper.

Waiting on price to come back but let me know if your interested, they will more than likely be 50mm in total length.

What is the goal, to lower the car on the existing shocks and springs?

Yeah pretty much,

Have got new bilstein HD's with H&R sport springs and they are on the lowest setting. Which for me needs to be slightly lower to match the rear, but as it sits now, we dont have enough thread to corner balance (if we want) at that height.

Theres no hurry though as Im still waiting from my RS droplinks to arrive

You really are gojng to town. Here's a few pics of Herman's stance. He's on RUF Bilsteins (HD) and H&R turbo springs. The 964 is naturally front high. I wouldn't want to go any lower.

Ahh yes but he doesn't live in the west, he's in one of those fancy parts of town.

Check the TNR website for more info.
Taking the P1 to the track - I'm liking it...........

So who's driving the P1 and what sort of 7/10th's lap is on offer - could affect my bid

Good on you for doing this Matt.

Yeah - about 1 in 3 of John's immediate neighbours owns a Pcar. Of them - most own 2 or more??
