Don't forget your 'OMG, OMG, OMG!' Comment from a few weeks back though... There is a reason the 64 has appeal.
Swap you for a BMW. Excellent for crawling up hills.

I think that is well priced. It will be 168k miles no doubt and as usual, all about what needs doing. I will be very interested to see if it hangs for long. I should really go and have a look.

Ah, the last few days my commute has been the usual 8-10 mins. On bad days I have to stop at a set of lights!

(Sorry, can't resist reminding you Auckland boys life's not all about fat Porsches and fast paychecks... last comment about this I promise.)

I have had a Boxster daily driver platform for a few years and love the manual. The little pain in stop/start up hill is worth the engagement Of manual for the trip. It's about the love of driving and reliving youth. My only autos ever have been Commodores and Cayenne. It doesn't have a place for me in a traditional sports car.

Don't stop reminding them Mike. They can always buy a cheap Honda auto for the commute along the waterfront. Or a scooter.

After hankering for an air cooled classic 911 if I had to cut back I think it would be the last to go. Wound my window down in peak traffic to say gidday to a bloke going the other way in a red 964 C4. I commented about his car and said mine was being rebuilt and had a lot of miles on it. He asked how many. I said 160. He said I have 290 with a big grin. Wow. Unfortunately then it started raining and the traffic moved on. Would have loved to stop and talk more.

I get more smiles and feel I have the most fun in the 964.

Looks like it might be down to Dave, Sam, Jason, Ralf, John (racoguy), Steve, Mark, myself and a small handful of others left.

I'm planning some air cooled only trips in my head already. It will be fun and noisy.

(I wonder if this comment has any impact. Perhaps I need to post some sound files. Heh :-P)

If you were planning a paint job then this would be the ideal time to do the Tour beforehand. Great idea!

Had a late night run through Woodcocks/SH16 recently. Completely different experience. Helps to know the road for sure, but still lots of fun (even if my car isn't air cooled or manual ). Am sorely tempted by Targa Tour, but dates just don't work this year. 2016 will have to suffice!

Jake, there's the 5 day tour in about September-October 2015. It's a 3 day event in May and 5 day in Oct each year.
