Neil, its a sweet looking car and would be a fine machine to go to work. I personally wouldnt own a tipo in this generation, its lazy and has only 4 gears. Other consideration would be Targa roof mechanism, they are noisy and very expensive to maintain and repair. Last consideration is accident damage and if you were keen on the car a call Dan and ask for his Step Dad Steves number Steve was the Service manager at Team European around that time. The paint does look very clean and it could well have been repainted. Im happy to look at the car for you when Im back. Ill tell quickly if its been resprayed.

I agree with Luke. The original coke bottle shape of the C2 is my favourite. Exception is the wider hips on the 993TT because that wing just brings it all together and frankly it was the originator of the wider hips, the C4S and C2S trade off that connotation. That said any 993 is damn gorgeous in my mind :-)

John. I only looked at the mid res exterior scans for a short time when working with Jake a bit on the 964 WB and it was not excellent condition in my opinion. The guy who posted that was one teh money. There was over spray even on the lower plastic sill trim rubber by the back wheel. It had had a touch at the front and I wouldn't be surprised if it had had a front left guard impact as it didnt drive perfectly straight either from what I understand. Jakes knows my opinion. Lets just say it warranted further investigation (a panel guy and a mechanic). In fairness the price reflected this I guess. I wonder what it went for in the end...

Neil - you are used to driving cars with 400hp - so anything with only 300hp will feel slow..........

By the way - talking to someone in the know, a 997.2 RS will do 1.10's in road trim and tires at HD, so Macca - your GT3 should be good for 1.08-09 in the right hands.

I wonder if Earl did some timed hot laps in the 991 GT3 he was using for driver training?
Yes,that would be about right. Lots of folk tracking these now and a number ex 997.2 GT3RS and 4.0L owners. Consensus seems to be around 1-2s quicker than 3.8RS on short medium courses 1.5-2 mile. I dont see myself getting anywhere near that. To date Ive done 8 laps of HD in the car out of around 80 laps total at HD. I think with Owen reminding me all teh mistake sI made last time out maybe trim off 1-1.5s but after that requires hard graft and many laps as you will know. Im not expecting to be back at HD again for 12 months again so it may have to wait! Infact HD seems like the track I will spend least time at over the years LOL!

Im definitely doing SITT in 2016 in the GT3. Hopefully we can get a team together again :-)

ECOTY 2014. A good way to spend 17 minutes. No surprises on which car takes the trophy. Interesting mix this year too. Cant wait to ready my copy which is sitting in NZ...

With everyone listing and lusting after each others cars at 150K, they'll just have a key party and call it quits.

Jo took Macca's keys away so it's a party of one.

I drove the Turbo 3.6 to work today. As a creature of habit I park in the same spot. In the lift, a guy (bug eye integra owner!) said he hadn't seen that one before, but like the others it was gorgeous and asked how many I have in total?

For me that's a reality check. I was surprised he had noticed and if he has then so have others at work. It shouldn't matter, but this is NZ. I can be happy with two Porsches. 99% of the population has none.

It may not be mine to swap by then. Right now I'm arranging to take it to CCS for a check.

Of interest to some, maybe, there are 49 watchers so far.

Buba. He's right. Some guy Paul on here did a pretty good job of talking them down in price recently. I think they are less than 964 prices now. I'll give you 45k for it as soon as mine has sold :-)
