Thanks for the advice . Not too worried about the horsepower as have that in the garage. Really just for daily commute and maybe a bit of appreciation or limited depreciation.
All this talk of keys, wives and hairy dogs has me confused.
If it s the cars you are talking about, do it. After a few months you can swop back and it will be as if you have new cars all over again
If it's your wives ......... Speak to them first, at least.
As for pet swopping, I am unsure, but have a neighbours barking dog that I could throw in the pot.

Wonderful story and so well written. I have a new found respect for mr. Harris. So funny. I laughed so loud my wife had to come upstairs to see what was going on.
Thanks for sharing Macca.

Good question Peter, I have decided to use HD at the end of Jan as my debuti in the porsche series. This gives me next weekend to get to grips with my race car on Saturday and the Sunday 2 K cup races on Sunday as much needed race experience. Also have Maccas 13 jan HD afternoon to sort the final bits on the car . Have entered already via PHIL and will be out tomorrow to check out how you set up in the pits. Do you need a hand as will be able to help out of needed.
I suppose it's my cautious nature.

No worries Neil - I had a very average debut at Taupo - reminds you what a step up it is from Playdays! Be great to see you tomorrow - we're in pits 21/22. Bring your "sticker application skills" as will be needed!

Puke feels more familiar and was a lot of fun today. I think we're all running in Porsche and GTRNZ so will make it a busy couple of days - sets up well as the Porsche races are pretty soon after GTRNZ with one class in between. Resigned to being back of the field but will enjoy it nonetheless.

You should join us for dinner in Kohi tomorrow night.

Yes, cafe racer style is in. Wouldn't mind a turbo either. Jap bling from the 80s.

What time does the Milford concourse start? I'm not down as a participant but will lurk about the flash metal for a bit.

Turbos arrive at 10:30. Anytime after 11:00 is probably worthwhile.

Closet bikies aye? The US cafe racer magazine is a good read. My subscription has just run out and I won't renew. Picking up magazines see's me off on tangents so singular focus is required now to get that orange T on the road. And clear out the driveway in anticipation. I could currently be challenging the McMillan household in numbers, but certainly not quality.

Pete , thanks for invite , but we are going out to dinner tomorrow. Will see you tomorrow though and help, where I can.

Dave I think we are all closet bikies at heart. Does your drive way have space for the trailer with the grinch on it on Friday night, ready for the trip to HD on Saturday?

Dave, you could put one of your stable at my place on the Friday. Just working out the logistics of getting the Grinch to HD on Saturday morning with trailers and cars going in all directions.

Btw that compressed foam is the business. Easy to cut but tough. I had a go at fibreglassing the panel in place. I can see why you said what you did. I'll be better prepared for the front side tomorrow.
