Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

Jees, I'm salivating at that one. Lose the tail and front lip. Center console delete. Add clear turn signals, momo prototipo, new ****, drop it 2 inches.....

Seriously - I'm liking your thoughts.
Just take Steve's white one for a drive and save the $40K

Yes, it does sound kind of advantageous having someone else's Porsche in the garage to drive, but I can't fiddle with it and make it my own. I'm like a Macca on a budget; the fun is in the evolution of the car

I could be wrong, but does the Aus market seem a little more realistic in their pricing of older 911's? Some interesting cars up for grabs:

Michael - where have you been for the last few years....?
I'm not sure that fits with Dave's vision of a hotrod IB!! I think the owner forget the 'less is more' principle.

Pel, Walt, Jason and Jake - would you gentlemen kindly consider blessing us mere 'normally aspirated' mortals with the presence of your mightly Turbo cars (and your fine company), and consider attending the PCNZ concours so we can all ogle your beautiful beasts please??

I'm just cleaning the Turbo 3.6 as per normal. I haven't entered it in either of the Concours categories.
BTW Walter are you on FB? I ask as I'm posting updates there on Integra progress.

On the subject of those Formula First Porschesque customs that were posted a few pages ago, I love the slightly rough handbeaten look of the bodies but agree that the centre seat one is the pick of the two. The other one was less well resolved - a bit of a bitser - especially with that odd roofline that had me thinking more Koenigsegg than Porsche.

One of the other owners with a similar FB dislike used his wife's account to join the Rennsport Gruppe FB page (closed group).
I've been posting things there as the message seems to get wider views and it's easier to do from my Iphone with pics etc, which Rennlist can't seem to get right. I won't renew my membership until they sort it out.
The cars are all but finished. Did you offer your services for paintwork?
Biggest excitement is the possibility of 2k cup organising a two car 12-hr endurance race next July. All the preventative maintenance should pay off. That will be epic.

Cars looking great John. They really stand out with those bonnet graphics (as Im sure your wife and neighbours have reminded you!). Its a testament to all your hard work and the others in the group. Cant wait for the racing to start to give me another armchair hobby to follow! Im sure all that preparation will pay off!
Im curious. I know its 2K up but what do these two cars really owe now? 8-10K each once at the track?

Yep, I said I'd be happy to go mad with a polisher and get some wax on them, but if a rattle can is needed that's all good too. If the cars are up here I may be able to shoot round in the weekend, otherwise it'll have to be piecemeal between sessions on the 13th. I take it that power is available in the pits?

Thanks Macca. We have spent a bigger amount than expected to get to this point.
$2k gets you a base car, likely with issues. Cages, seats, harnesses, rims, tyres, servicing, transponders, pads, repairs etc all add up. We have absolutely kept to the rules, but some things were non negotiable e.g. Safety.
Having seven owners has been a real help. The money is easier to come by, as is the gentle persuasion from people to do it right.
The last BBQ session the guys were carving up the field. Tyres, pads etc make a difference.
