Its $300 NZD and they dont have show pigs here. This one will likely be sold to someone wishing to pay a bridal dowry for the wedding feast. Local tradition is that the head bridesmaid is to strike the death blow to the pig with a picked hammer (like an ice axe) before the wedding. I kid you not! Being head bridesmaid is not a popular option here....

Preferable to NZ where the bridesmaid 'punishment' is to buy an ugly dress that they will never wear again.

Sounds like a none too subtle reminder to the husband to toe the line.

Paul, yep 116 is the real deal - hence the 'almost an inverted 911' tag for 611 (only works if you swivel each number in place, like on a mailbox where the top screws for the numbers rust out). Either way, Jimi Hendrix didn't mind (If 6 was 9):

Default Late 996 or a 997 driver's seatbelt - anyone in NZ have one spare?

Just to get things back onto things Porsche - does anyone here in New Zealand have a 996 or 997 drivers seatbelt for sale, with the built-in electrical socket for the pyrotechnic pre-tensioner? Bonus points for black, else maybe a blue or yellow. Needed for a WOF as the current one frayed an edge against something sharp in the B pillar.

Tried MS and IMS already, but has someone else maybe done a track conversion with a box of bits left over?

Thanks for asking mate. That was just over 1 year ago. Ory made a recovery although the doctors gave him only 10%. He still has some nerve damage in his feet and legs and the aorta graft requires regular monitoring, has tonnes of scars from grafts and ops (broke virtually every rib) but hes alive and kicking and back on the rock although banned from owning a moto by the rest of us!

Close enough to be shopping, although saying that's the kiss of death right there

Garage will say goodbye to 996TT, Turbo 3.6 and GTI, and welcome Q5 and GT3.

Herman and GT3 will both be DD cars, Q5 will be the family wagon and race car tow vehicle.

Finally we see the light!! Suggest you bide your time. One of these will come up soon on TM. Paul also knows of a very good MK1 in Waikato he can tell you about.

Jamie. Thats one stonking deal at 14-15K. 1.16s at Manfield must be good for 1.13s at HD. Such alot of performance for the money.

Just be warned. Garage could get even smaller once you start driving the GT3 and realise Herman isnt getting much seat time any longer...just saying...:-)
