Ha ha, I had exactly the same idea except it was someone else keeping it warm for me. I'm surprised Peter isn't getting horny on it, his itch for a red 911 must be getting unbearable.
Shame I will miss the picnic, but happy to be racing and not sure I can do much better than my last outing there anyway.
While on racing... I'm contemplating a dash for the race car. Stupid that I got rid of the AIM dash that was in the other car when it was "restored".
I've looked at the Motec but the base functionality for the price looks stupid, no programmable shift lights for $2.5k is mental.
The AIM MXL Pista looks to be the best for plugging in to my Motec, data logging and lap timing.
Anyone else have a point of view?

It's rather depressing isn't it? Never any focus on the real contributors to road accidents. I'd feel better if they at least used the ridiculous revenue gains to enforce and fund better driving courses and stricter license requirements.
I think I've mentioned it before, but driving throughout Japan and not seeing a single accident amongst the 10's of 1000's of people I passed, and having everyone driving well over the limit, was all I needed to strengthen my conviction on the fact speed has very little to do with the vast majority of accidents.
Invest in better public transport to get all the muppets off the road is surely the answer?
My partner loves the colour green and wants a convertible...

When the 'Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed' generation of teens start hitting their mid-career earning stripes I wouldn't bet against it. But she may be keeping Chris Amon company for a while yet, since that would be from about 2025. She may catch a mild swell earlier from that tide that's lifting all boats just now though.

That interior colour though. Unsure if I could live with it (knowing that I'd really be buying it for myself). Might have to go take a look at least. Does anyone here know the owner/car?

VIN checks out as a '92 model. Mileage trend suggests not a complete garage queen. A bit of fruit on wide bodies, even if tip etc. I'm going to have a look.

4 speed and colour makes it a hard sell but yes WB does appeal, and not often seen (by me at least). When are you thinking of taking a look?

Cars like this are weekend toys. There is no point buying it to change anything on it. The positives are WB, low mileage, and possibly great condition. If the body or interior are less than pristine I would walk. That colour would be a nightmare to match.
