I thought that was the 993 and a race car was next up?

The holy grail of 911's is a 993 right? A 993 for you Paul could be a bit stuck in the middle.
You've got the same problem as me, forever searching, never satisfied.
Time for a Project!
Make a list.
Air or water
Front or rear engined (what!)
Torsion bar or springs
Long or short hood
Modern powerplant or earlier MFI or carbs
Narrow body or wide body
Track or street

Then get two at polar opposites and you'll have it.

Holy grail = early R or ST rep and a 997.2 GT3.

This is a smart man who's been thinking. Easier to do than a wife & a mistress.

But likely a mistress wouldn't mind you doing it and a wife would!

And a lot cheaper. I'm almost out of men to talk to in our immediate social circle due to them behaving badly and the ensuing divorces.

The positive for me is that another car or car spend pales in significance. No one wants to hear about what I'm up to when the women are embroiled in marital asset splits and are moving from a family home to a 2 bedroom box, then faced with an uncertain financial future for the rest of their lives. Think as unloved as a 1998 996 Tipo

Wahoo!! go Paul!
Looks like the writing is on the wall for a modern water pumper, the only way to go fast for a road car out of the box, That or racecar, I agree with Dave one car does not do all. That's the problem we all have - get one thing and bugger we till want another ....

You could blame it on the men, or you could blame it on 'Desperate Housewives' and the like. The French do this so much better, especially the women.

Is it just your street or a wider epidemic? It all drives GDP but it sure doesn't do our balance of payments any good. Think two jugs, two toasters, two couches etc. Kind of like the more earthquake problems we have, the better GDP looks.

I guess Donna will know to worry when you stop buying cars. Or you get a Holden Sandman:

Coupe, MFI

And vertical head lights (993 fails this test and I think is the reason why 964's are coming more into fashion). Ideal car woudl be a 964 front and 993 *** - i.e 964 turbo................

(need to talk to Graham.............)

This is why Pete and I have beer guts (insurance policy against getting into stickie situations - we all admire asethecially pleasing things)

Even Macca was adopting this stragegy while in Europe.

Just tire kicking at the moment - as previsouly noted I (thought) have a chance to buy a super tidy 89, G50 3.2 Carrera in resale red with under 100Km's and was gonna pounce..........

This has now gone, so maybe back into my box.............

Wife is sencing my desire for another car and accelerating plans for new house renovation.............

Walter, the data set is nine. Eight men initiated divorce and one women. Six men had affairs or a new partner before pulling the pin

A recent common theme is that the children have finished schooling and therefore no maintenance needs to be paid. Half a family home = a basic 2 bedroom unit in the same suburb.

None were Porsche owners

The upshot is that time in the man cave is not an issue because you can't sleep with your car.

Scaffolding gone so wandered down to the garage and played 'pick a car'. The Turbo 3.6 won because I like to keep the battery charged and Herman has a fair drive coming up.

BTW I will drive down with Doug, Dave and Pete tomorrow. We will stop by in Pirongia. See you and the others in Taupo.
