Thanks, changing it to 2.4 did the trick. Are you saying ultimately the higher frequencies are better? What else would be gained?

5 GHz channels offer higher bandwidth but shorter range as a compromise. (As in, the higher frequencies have a lower tolerance for signal loss and transmission errors.) Since your wifi antennas are probably tucked behind the center console, my guess is that you were experiencing signal loss with the 5 GHz band.

I use 5 GHz bands in my setup and it works completely fine. But as you yourself have experienced, your mileage may vary.

I should also mention that I usually place my iPhone on a wireless charger mount I have installed on the center-right side air vent, so the distance from my phone to the external antennas are very short.

Thanks for the explanation!

New question: Anyone have any suggestions how to make the wired mirroring function work cleaner, with regards to the audio/video sync? Every time
I use the wired mirroring, there is a significant delay in the sync...

Glad to hear this, the 5Ghz band is easily affected by not only physical interference but range issues as well, if the Wi-Fi signal is weak then you will experience dropouts. Many believe that you 'need' 5Ghz for good sound or data transmission, this is not really the case, as usual it depends on the amount of data you are trying to send over the link. In the end if you can't reliably connect and stay connected at 5Ghz then the best option is 2.4Ghz. Regarding audio "higher frequencies" the Wi-Fi band has nothing to do with this, as long as the data gets through it is fine.

There is a picture up above in post #1194 with the Wi-Fi antennas taped with what looks like aluminum tape to the metal chassis of the PCM, probably one of the worst things you can do for range for any antenna!

@MrLArgo if you really want to get the 5Ghz signal working, try reorienting the Isudar BT/WiFi antennas to get them physically to the best proximity to the phone, I have mine drapped on each side of the PCM, no metal to interfere with signals.

I installed the isudar module for pcm 3.1 on my 2012 911. I’m getting a blank screen with the radio sound working. Also, the physical buttons do not seem to work. Anyone else experienced this issue during their installation?

I have based on the installation guide isudar on YT. How can I rule out if the ribbon cables could be damaged? None of them look ripped but they have light creases on them.

I had the same issue. Blank screen after installation. I was scared, so I removed the ISUDAR board and put everything back as original. Screen came back!

I suspect that one of the flat cables wasn't properly seated in the connector, so I will probably attempt the install again. My car has the SIRUS board installed, so fitting the ISUDAR board is a little different than Marcus' setup (very helpful web page, BTW).
