I installed the isudar module for pcm 3.1 on my 2012 911. I’m getting a blank screen with the radio sound working. Also, the physical buttons do not seem to work. Anyone else experienced this issue during their installation?
I had this same problem, it means there is an issue with the connection to the PCM board (front screen and buttons). I had the flat cables in there backwards (flip them around). So either make sure they are seated fully, or flip them around.
See the 2 pics for correct orientation. I also used this video, while not ISUDAR, it is the same type of board and the install is the same and better explained:
I have based on the installation guide isudar on YT. How can I rule out if the ribbon cables could be damaged? None of them look ripped but they have light creases on them.
Look at post #1186 above it shows what the ribbon cables should and shouldn't look like when installed.
I had the same issue. Blank screen after installation. I was scared, so I removed the ISUDAR board and put everything back as original. Screen came back!
I suspect that one of the flat cables wasn't properly seated in the connector, so I will probably attempt the install again. My car has the SIRUS board installed, so fitting the ISUDAR board is a little different than Marcus' setup (very helpful web page, BTW).
I have the Sirius XM board as well, it made for a very tight install, infact I had to remove the plastic from around the connector to get the XM board back in and connected. As a precaution I secured the connection with a zip-tie, it is a relatively secure fitting but I don’t want it to come apart inside of the PCM. Pictures available if needed.

Reason: spelling

Sure, here is a series of pictures, when I tried to install the Isudar board in the PCM, the XM antenna connection was actually preventing the Isudar board from sitting flat, in fact if I tried to tighten the mounting screws into the standoff's it would bow the Isudar board. I initially though taller standoffs would work but there is not enough room to go any higher, as it is I was worried that the Isudar board would touch the metal case of the CD drive case, I even covered that area of the CD case with some PPF as an insulator. No, the plastic connector for the XM antenna was the culprit! So, I determined that the plastic locking house comes off without damage just by removing the purple locking tab, this leave a much thinner assemble that just fits under the Isudar board. I added the zip tie to ensure that there was no way that connection could come apart. although doubtful it would, a zip tie was simple insurance.

Hmm, I have the Sirius XM board and just used all the standoffs to put the Isudar board above the Sirius board, didn't have to touch the Sirius XM board. So a long and short standoff in each corner. Seems to work fine. Am I missing something?

All I know was when I was testing the fit using the supplied combination there was not enough room, the Isudar board not only touched the XM antenna connection but any attempt to tighten the screws to hold it resulted in the Isudar board bending.
Perhaps your PCM cam with a different revision of the XM daughter board and the antenna connection was not in the same place? If you have a picture to compare?

Yeah, that's possible. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I did have to use all 6 standoffs to get it high enough, not sure if that's what they intended, but it worked for my unit.
Sorry but if you pull wiring when you install the pcm you can have problem on the white connectors.
The Isudar card is very hot in the PCM et i've had problem on my pcm. After PCM repair i've installed Mr12Volt

Possibly, but then an actual strain relief would better mitigate that problem, by the time I had threaded those 2 cables out of the PCM they were pretty much immobile, but hey extra insurance never hurts.
Regarding the bolded, what is this, additional fans?

If you value quality of audio, mr12volt is better as of right now… because it uses MOST25 digital signal directly. Strong and reliable connection too.
I’ve had Joye, then moved to Isudar and now I have Mr12volt in my quest for audio fidelity and quality… and I found it. So, I have real-world experience with all these systems.
