it doesn't show a black screen, it still have the steering guides and everything, just the camera is no input. (the 12V camera line on the isudar module isn't on or isudar module isn't receiving input).

Check the settings…. Make sure the toggle switch is on the side of the aftermarket camera. And everything else off.

If you have a UHD camera, try to change the camera settings to 25 fps vs 30 (default). This solved my black screen problem with my new aftermarket camera.

Kimi sent me the download, including a PNG file that shows the files I need to download.

I was expecting a .bin file and a zip folder (OSU_settings) with the other documents.

Instead, I had a file called pcm3.1_B.rar

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, I had planned to put the zip folder and the .bin file and the OSU_Settinsg zip folder onto the root directory of a blank thumb drive.

Instead, do I simply place the .rar file on the thumb drive?

I got this figured out, on my Mac I needed to install an app that would unzip the .rar file. working on it now

and the good news is, now everything is working as it should, immediately paired to bluetooth and the wifi connected.

Yes, the wifi stays connected, and I suspect it would eventually drain the battery after I shut off the car or lock the doors.

Update. PCM is still dark with no functionality except for the last XM station that was playing on the non-carplay function. Since I purchased my unit from Amazon I've been in communication with Prince, not Kimi. They have tried several different FW updates to re-awake my PCM but they all have failed. I have a new iSudar module en route and will wait for it before I pull the PCM out and open. My main thing now is I want my PCM back, with or without the iSudar.

Hey @twalk I had to send an Isudar unit back to Amazon was unable to update. Other than that the unit worked fine it would not accept updates. Amazon is sending a replacement due here Wednesday. Anyway I was contacting Kimi at Isudar who then told me to contact Amazon.I see you have a contact name of Prince is that with Amazon or Isudar. If at Amazon it would be great if you could share the contact info. I’ve also worked with Santrix and Teddis on this system which shows great potential.

Hopefully we both can get our systems working to our satisfaction. At first look at the screen and the sound was awesome, better support at a local level would help.

Mine older 1.2 broad does seems to shut off Wi-Fi after 30 minutes ish. Which is great I guess.

I am on 1124 and MCU version that fixes the volume.

Mine doesn’t recognize the MCU update that fixes back button and I am still getting trouble with my reverse camera even I set it to 720p 25fps. It seems to only work about 1/3 of the time when I put the car in reverse. My camera is getting power as led lights up, but isudar isn’t getting any signal.

i wonder if isudar only support AHD, as I think mine is NTSC. I remember there is a NTSC option before the updates

@JohsonChou , please send an email to iSudar support on the Steering wheel MCU fix and no available update button for the upgrade.
So hopefully we get a revised file. You may need a specific file from Kimi at iSudar. Kimi@isudar.com.

It seems that those of you who have a 1.2 board version with the first number in version screen starting with “PCM3.1-GD…” are having problems recognizing the latest MCU update for steering wheel return button.

The update button do not light up and is not selectable.

I recommend everyone with that series board send email to Kimi asking for a good file or a replacement board…

Hello @Notmac1. From what I can tell iSudar must have different stores (sellers) distributing their product. Think that's why Kimi is asking for your order number and seller info with the screen shot of your about (info) screen. Kimi then said that they have a rep that handles the iSudar purchases thru Amazon. The name I have is Prince.lu and his contact email is

I don't know what board I currently have installed. I emailed pics to Kimi and Prince of when I had the PCM open during installation and the photo of my about screen and they sent the fw update .bin file.
