Why did you mis-quote the thread title? You removed a word.

Oh, good grief, knock it off. You guys sound like a bunch of second graders trying to wiggle out of some teacher's rule. Grow up.

I didn't. Dyno shop uses doesn't have a tie to the front wheels and I got busy.... are those at the wheels numbers? not horrible!

.
Another potential issue for us is cold weather starts as in -36F Has anyone had the fix in the north, how has it started in sub-zero temps?

I think you'd have to update it on the settlement portal.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but it looks like some of the leftover diesels are now being sold by some dealers. Since the car is technically already 2 years old, what kind of discounts are people actually getting? I read on the Audi forum that a Q7 TDI is discounted 20%

Lots of discussion on this already. Please read the last few pages of the thread to see what people are finding.

Anyone live in Mass with a 14 CD? I had the diesel fix with the updated software. My car now does not pass the Mass inspection.
I have driven in 600 miles since the fix and still does not pass. Anyone have this issue?

My 2013 CD had the emission fix on Friday. I drove the fixed CD from Spokane to Bozeman and back to Western Montana over the weekend. Lots of mountain driving and 80 MPH + freeway driving. Even with my Thule cargo box on I had a fuel mileage of 28.83 MPG by fill calculation on a tank with 400+ miles on it. Quite frankly I cannot tell any appreciable difference in the cars performance or engine noise level after the fix. The dealer told me they had some CDs they could not sell until a certain number of existing CDs receive the fix. Sad that Porsche is out of the diesel business in NA going forward but happy to have mine.

I also have 2014 CD, drove 430 miles after the fix and MISSOURI emissions test failed. Dealer asked me to drive around 200 more miles...

Once my 2016 is warmed up, it performs NO different than pre-fix.

When it is cold, the truck holds gears a little longer but that is all I can tell after about 300 miles since last Thursday night.

The truck is about perfect once it is up to temp. Thank goodness for a 2016.

Do your states actually do emissions tests on diesels or is this just that the computer tells them that there are too many monitors marked as "not ready" because you haven't completed a drive cycle?

Required in Missouri:
"Drivers must complete an emissions test if their vehicle meets any of the following qualifications: the car weighs less than 8,500 lbs, the gas-powered vehicle is newer than model year 1996, or the diesel-powered vehicle is newer than model year 1997. "

^^^ I believe the question is question is whether the emissions test failure was due to an actual exhaust pipe test or the OBIi plug into the computer system test. Any time a dealer resets the computers the CD will take some time to relearn before it passes those tests.

Lesson is not to do the fix if you are due to have an emissions test soon after
