What documentation do we need to take to dealer when dropping of CD for ECR?
Any need to take settlement agreement or any other document??

I just purchased CD out of state last month and this is new dealer for the CD and me!

Settlement website shows: "The next step in the process is to schedule your appointment to complete the Emissions Compliant Repair. All scheduling must take place with the dealer directly."

Thanks a lot for help!

Sorry? What does claim include?
  • Documents uploaded when registering (license, bill of sale/title etc.) or
  • Settlement package that was uploaded?
Thanks!

I drove a fair amount today, about 80 miles, all types of conditions. The main thing I notice is an extended warm up period. Seems to return to pre-fix type driving once oil temp is above 150. During this warm up period 3rd gear is held to over 3k rpm at times. It seems odd because to me I'm like "hey I'm not accelerating hard, why aren't you shifting". I do recall some of this before the fix but not for an extended warm up period, nor with such an awkward holding of 3rd gear. Again mine is a 2014.

That is a high RPM for a diesel motor not warmed up. I would just force shift to a higher gear.

I tried driving my 2013 Diesel (post fix) in sport mode. There was nothing unusual, no weird noises, shakes, rattles or jerkiness. It seems to run fine post fix other than, it may be my imagination, but it seems to rev higher before upshifting at times when I hit the gas. If that is the case, maybe the car has to re-learn how I drive-I have heard people discuss this with the pdk transmission but I don't know if it applies to this car.

The car has plenty of power and I don't know if it affects fuel economy or not because I have not driven enough.

I don't see any problems with the fix that would stop me from getting the second half of the payment. Everything seems good.

OK, let's hear some more post weekend reports on how the fix feels (or doesn't feel) from you guy who have had it done and put some miles on your CD over the weekend.

I have an update to my situation as some of you might have been following. VW is stating they will not provide partial payment despite a prior approval to emission update. Bobcat has stated he’ll get a partial payment despite an approval after mine. I can appeal that decision as noted by Council, but it does make you wonder. Who knows what I’ll do....

I’ll be honest, I’m going to hold off till Chris and BBi get theirs dyno’d. Call me crazy, but there’s something that’s giving to the update when compared to prior.

Good luck and hand calculate.

Warranty question(s): I purchased 2014 CD last month.
Called Porsche North America customer service and they said my car has extended warranty until 12/16/2022 or 125,000 miles.
1) Is this given by default to all CD owners because of diesel settlement or did the previous owner purchase it which goes along with the car?

2) With ECR modification, will this extended warranty stay on top of emissions warranty or will it be taken out and replaced by 4 year warranty + 4 year emissions only warranty from day of the fix?

3) What's covered under warranty/extended warranty. I am coming from Mercedes and didn't have to do anything for 4 years other than replacing oil and tires. Is it similar?

Thanks a lot for kind help!
