The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Sold for $214k including fees thus way surpassing the 2k mile .2 GT3 on Pcarmarket. Madness! Who is this Snaveed guy? He bids like crazy on so many auctions. Is he a dealer and/or someone trying to drive up and corner the market? I never see him resell the cars he has bought. Is he a collector, but doubt it.

On the other hand, he buys up all 997 GT3 and RS cars.
By doing so he can sell each one for:

I am pretty sure I know who he is, and I think he's entitled to privacy. There are guys here that own a lot of cars and this guy is no different except he's not active on the forum. The question at hand is he a dealer and the answer is no. A guy with pretty good taste and a fatter wallet than me. And most people. And if he wants something he's going to try hard to get it.

Alex, you already know its getting to that point for me.
Driving these cars is special, but the more they go up in value the less incentive I have to drive it.
The ratio of fun:worried creeps in and suddenly you just look at it in the garage & that new rock chip hurts just a bit more than it should.

Finally put up an asking price for this Carrara White/Ruby Stone (originally had Guards Red contrast). Asking price is $250k OBO. Car has 18k miles, PCCB, full leather, and no sports chrono.

Carfax report doesn’t signify any issues and the car overall looks clean. Car just has cosmetic mods. This car doesn’t have the optional cup holders for the .2 RS so just has the carbon fiber strip with RS 3.8 written on it. Cup holders didn’t come as standard with the .2 RS, but the option was free.

the Rubystone can easily be changed back to Guards.

The silver .2 was "bought" by All Things Porsche. The car is now listed on his site. More likely a market manipulation tactic than an actual sale. If you review higher sale auctions on PCar market, you see a lot of bidding between the same users on low mileage Porsche GT and TTs. The users are dealers and they are not actual sales - just transferring the cars between dealers, and booking a high sale price to push the market up. They also actively bid up other auctions on the site to push final prices up. This is likely why PCAR Market has no transparency on researching bidders' history, because the patterns would be too easy to spot.

I do have one question for the channel… I have on the shelf a guards LSD, new coolant lines, engine mounts etc would the collectors pay less if I pinned the lines and updated the LSD etc vs bone stock?

Two other data points. The black .1 with 41k miles for sale at Porsche Colorado Springs is already gone. They did not even have time to post pics, they just did a quick video. It was was not pristine cosmetically and they were asking $115k.
And Doug seems to have sold his .1 atlas grey with 17k miles. He was asking $130k.

But I do believe they were bidding up their own auctions. If I shook their hand I'd have to wash it after first checking to make sure I had my watch.
Pcarmarket, if they are an "honest broker", should ban All Things Porsche.
