Wrapped up the remainder of my "catch up" maintenance on my new-to-me 2006 C2 w/ 42K miles. It had regular dealer maintenance but it's 15 years old & I figured it was due for much of this:

New water pump @ thermostat
New drive belt
New AOS & hoses
New coolant expansion tank
New plugs & coils
Repl Air & cabin filter
Changed transmission oil, engine oil
Flush coolant

I did a few fun things too - Gundo hack & installed clear side markers. Finally I did a full polish, paint sealer & detail while I was waiting for parts & it was on the Quickjacks. Next is window tint & upgrading the stereo. Whew! I'll excited to take it on a few trips & to the track this fall. Pics to follow. I'm too pooped right now.

I finally, finally, super-duper finally installed a Dension GW500S so I can use this newfangled invention called Bluetooth. Seems like a fad.

Did an LED bulb conversion for my front bumper lights, including DRL fog lights, signals, and parking light. No dashboard errors, thankfully

Finished the center console re-finish project, and of course finished the other trim pieces as well. Those that say it's easy have done several. For those that haven't done one, it's a PITA, but worth the trouble after it's over.

BEFORE...with the OEM rubberized finish and a gazillion scratches from the PO's pet's claws.

Center console, trim pieces, and the A/C buttons done for good measure

Looks good! Not a chance in hell I’m tackling that job! I’d love to have it leather wrapped but costly.

Thanks. The first time is a bear, take lots of aspirin before contorting to find all the screws, and the biggest regret I have is that I didn't make a much more agressive effort to look at the connections in the console before I started pulling them off by feel. I have several metal clips to show for it, but everything seems to be holding together, so that's good.

Agreed on the leather, but way too much $$ and it will scratch eventually...as will this paint with clear coat (3 layers).

Replaced the 997.1 sport steering wheel with a recovered one from Dallas Custom Steering Wheel.

Very pleased. More leathery less plasticky than the original, a little thicker too.

Plug -n- play installation, easy peasy. At 1/5th the oem price for a new one.
