1- Got title and plates paid for, have temp papers for now.
2. Figured out how to eject a CD, thought those buttons had to do with the telephone!
3. Called local Indy about PPI I had done in the state where I bought it. He will be looking over "critical" items like flushing the possibly original and now dirty brake fluid and acidic coolant. Emailed him the PPI which included pics of fluid samples and test strips. Doesn't have an opening until November!
4. Tried linking telephone but didn't get past "Telephone not Available" and no Bluetooth menu found. I have the CDR-30, 619 Bluetooth telephone option, and hopefully unrelated 870 Universal Audio Interface (MP3 works via plug) along with 680 Bose HE pkg. Searched the internet but they had head ends that didn't match the CDR-30. Will slog on tomorrow.
5. Confirmed that radio gets basically no FM stations. Other cars get dozens here. Maybe the antenna became disconnected? Removing the radio to check is a low priority.
6. Looked into tire repair kits.
7. And got in around 50 miles of sometimes spirited driving, occasional light rain notwithstanding. That's what it's all about!!
Picked up the car from the body shop after a bumper cover respray which included filling the plate holes. The road rash wasn’t too bad, but the rest of the car is perfect and it always bothered me. I put ppf on the car when I bought it but the damage was already done because the previous owner hadn’t bothered with ppf. An absolutely perfect paint job. Looks like a new car.
Brake bleed day today. Easy stuff. 2.0 bar of pressure. refilled 5 times. Used a Motive power bleeder for the first time. Think I will add a valve contraption part way down the pressure line to close it off, release air pressure on the master cylinder side so that each time I need to refill the master cylinder I am not pumping the bleeder 100-150 cycles, 5-6 times for a proper brake fluid change. All in all, successful day.
nice! Just put on my first set this year. Muy bueno!
Man, we'll see. I drove her home in the rain and parked it to finish the work day and get better weather for a proper test run. (Felt nice and planted on wet roads, but I didn't push miuch.) I didn't check the pressures before the second drive, but while running a cloverleaf on-ramp at , say Level 6 intensity, it definitely felt.... MOOSHY, to quote @Bruce In Philly and pass a nod in his Atlanta direction. It wasn't just sidewall flex, it was like sidewall wobble on the rears. Not how my PSSs ever felt under any circumstances at any pressure. (And my time with them was from 50% --> 0% tread.)
I'll check and adjust cold pressures when I can get a nice, dry run in, but I am a little concerned right now.

500 miles to wear out the mold release. Then test them.

Yes... butt..... when I put on my new PS2 N4s, the stiffer performance was immediate (and they are 18" !). No need to wear off the release. Yes, I am sure there was release, but the tire is just structured very differently from the 4S that the difference was obvious even with the slippery release. My experience is the 4S is mooshy... always. Sorry to be a downer, butt... that darn big butt again.
I do remember what I didn't like about the PS2.... they wear way faster than the 4S ... the PSSs wore like iron. I had all the Michelin iterations. Now with mounting miles on my PS2 N4s, I can honestly say my sports car is back! I sincerly can say I will not be going back to the 4S tires even as they continue to win all the YouTube comparisons for traction. The 4S just took out some of the fun; and that is why I own the car in the first place.
Peace

Honestly Bruce ... No disagreement from me. I agree with everything you are saying. It seems the Michelin tire is evolving in parallel with the 911 to become more of a grand touring and less a sports tire. But it's still a good idea IMHO to insure the mold release is worn off before you start exploring tire limits.

I am about to have mine done as well: plate holes filled/repaint/re-PPF.
What did the shop charge you?
Also need one of the horns replaced.
Doing that while the bumper is already off should be a snap. (The quote I got from an indie shop in Los Angeles area was almost $700 to replace a $145 OEM part.)
Would you guys recommend letting a body shop do that while repainting the front clip?
