I did mine this year too.. the problem with a perfect bumper, I started noticing the hood and fender blemishes that never caught my eye before. I miss the bumper blemishes now.

My new-to-me car has 60K miles and probably the original brakes and rotors. Rotors had a lip on them that a Clydesdale might trip over, so new everything was in order. Calipers are Brembo and the black paint was sand-blasted, so decided to change that out, too. Here we are after the first wheel, and waiting for the Textars from Pelican and PORSCHE decals that got lost in the mail.

Oh well, the paint will be dried well by the time the stuff gets here. Prep and paint is about 4-6 hours per wheel, what with drying time for solvents, primer, paint and then the touch-up on overspray. Weather is good, beer is cold, so it's a good project.

Finally got out for a long drive with some friends, and got some great picture on a beautiful day!

Figured out that the $250 purge valve preventing my GT2's fuel tank from filling up is actually an $8 Kia Rio part:

I installed mine 3 months ago. Very straight forward install. Quality and fitment of bbi is exceptional. I went with red as well.

I agree - it installed way easier than a techquipment bar i have installed and removed a few times in other cars.

Poor instructions (like ZERO) from BBi - I have taken a lot of images so i can do a how-to. I have been taking my time - making sure i don't scratch anything !

Because of your courage and success, I might attempt this repair over the weekend. Thank you for trailblazing and showing the way!

What rubber coil isolators are you referring to?

Doing a similar update with my car with TechArt Springs and would like to minimize the drop as well

I don’t like to throw around the term “hero” much but sometimes it seems appropriate.

Fun couple of days:

- removed rear wheels, rear bumper cover, muffler heat shields and mufflers. No issue with the muffler hardware as it is all stainless. Took about an hour
- R&R spark plugs Bosch and coil packs BERU ZSE052. About an hour taking my sweet time
- R&R drive belt Continental. 30 minutes. I did not read all of the instructions so at the end I was getting frustrated that I could not get the belt back over the alternator pulley since that was how i took the belt off per the manual. Welllll, when you put it back on, you install it around the alternator pulley and slide it onto the tensioner pulley.
- R&R engine air filters Hengst.
- removed one cat convertor exhaust side nut one at a time, put some ainti-seize on the stud and reinstalled each nut. Future frustration minimizer.
- Reinstalled all

next

- Removed front wheels
- Removed front bumper cover
- cleaned out the radiators and condensers
- added a right side homemade frunk release cable.
- R&R cabin air filter. Mann

Test drive tomorrow.
