Today I added protective grills in the front bumper.
Based on the various diy's available here and there I purchased a stell sheet in a local shop.
I plastidipped it and used a multi-purpose sealant in some spots, no screws.
As I don't really like the look of the central grill I made two small pieces that goes on each side of the central inlet.
Very happy of the result !
Not technically all done today, but making the completion of this project, started with a slipping clutch and removing the calipers to have them powder coated, and ended by replacing pads, rotors, clips, hoses, bolts, sensors, and a few other things, but I am very happy with the end product.
While it was in the air I took the time to install the EMC2 front lip which went on easily and looks fantastic.
And finished the project with a new set of floor mats to continue to add some black accents to my beige interior.
Now on to the next project, new control arms, struts, and lowering springs.
Was it an easy install, or did it require a lot cable splicing etc?
Plug and play, no splicing. It took me 2 hours. The hardest thing I had to do was hid the Joyeauto box. I ended up stuffing it at the end of the passengers side footwell behind the glove box just above the carpet line. Pretty easy access should I ever need to get to it again.
If I decide to add a rear view camera, it should be as simple as running the additional wire to the back and flipping a dip switch on the Joyeauto box since the wiring comes with the kit already installed.

Took a few days off and detailed my ride. Full cut and polish using Menzerna 400 and 2500. New Stone guards in black. Ceramic on paint and wheels with Bead Maker after that. Also installed radiator grills. I may add side stripes later that stop at the door edge but I am still wrestling with that idea. My daughter bought them as a present so there is that...
Left the nose alone because it's pretty beat up and I am going to wrap it and I want to black out the old radiator guards so they disappear. I am loving the ceramic. The pics don't do it justice.
Back on the ground after H&R spring install. Slowly working on the interior. 991.2 oem carbon steering wheel, carbon shift ****, black alcantara boot, black center console and ebrake.
A couple of people asked about the IPD plenum on my 997.2 C4S. It's a six speed with Numeric short shifter and cables. I installed the IPD plenum and BMC filters when I installed the Sharkwerks by-pass pipes in 2019. I think the combination works well. It's a little more free flowing on each end. I think the combination works well. The throttle response is more immediate and I think the RPMs grow faster now. I have a Cobb Accessport but have not installed the tune yet.
