@Recruiter_Bruno, if you don't mind me asking, who did that wheel for you?

I have wanted a multi-function for a while and I think I'd like something similar with alcantara. I'm not 100% sure I want it quite as thick (at least it looks pretty thick), but this example is what I've been mulling albeit all black.

Thx!

Bob

Snow ball effect... Upgraded to a 991.2 steering wheel. VERY good deal but the color was Cocoa Brown. Installed and loved the contrasting browns... Now the center console is out and I am wrapping/reupholstering in Italian Napa leather. So incredibly soft over the stock leather. Its like velvet. Not done yet but the whole thing will be wrapped in the dark brown.

The leather is thick. The shift boot is so soft.

While everything is out, I had my son design and 3D print a media port replacement so I can run a USB cable from the upgraded head unit. These are the test prints but the final will be done in a black Nylon 6/6 with fiberglass reinforcement.

Original:

USBc cable from Pioneer head unit. The adaptor is a USB 3 female to USBc male from amazon for $5. All metal... surprised at the quality for the price.

Not done but still tweaking the fit and finish.

One more thing... upholstery shop was giving me the runaround for months and months on finishing my houndstooth inserts. Went from "almost done... maybe next week" to waiting on thread for over a month to many more stupid excuses. I showed up one day to see the progress and he did nothing since I dropped the seats off in August. I took them home and did them myself. Was easier than I had thought.

Will you have any stitching in the leather for the console?

Yes. Some of the shapes are too extreme to do with a single piece.

Default Upgraded to the Numeric

Shifter swap complete, best upgrade I’ve made to my car, recommend without reservation, no matter how you drive. The craftsmanship of the Numeric is outstanding and the shifting now feels as well-engineered as the braking, handling, and power plant.

Default Replaced Driver’s side mirror glass and fixed the Whistle!

While replacing the failing auto dimming mirror glass,

I finally got around to fixing the whistle that comes from the mirror housing.

I think he got it done by Ledermanz in Latvia. Also, despite appearances it is not very think. I can wrap my fingers all the way around it.

My driver side mirror is permanently dimmed. How big of a job is this?

TIA

Just an oil change (I do them every 6 mo or 5K miles whichever comes first).

Quick photoshoot with the recently added big brother (970.2 Panamera Turbo)
Just can't stay away from Panamera's. Simply no better 4 door experience. This is my 4th one after selling my GTS a few years ago -> and now finally the Turbo. Absolutely loving it.

Added a new front lip, radiator grills and black stone guards. I’m still undecided if I like the stone guards, but will look a lot better once I have black wheels.

...and the GTank freshly washed in the back.

Front lip looks great @GTank . Thanks for sharing
Personally, I think the black stone guards look good, and I'm sure even more so with black wheels.

Hi Murse,

Did you do anything with the cables or only replace the shifter?

Hi Kiawah, I swapped the original cables for OEM replacements following a failure in early summer last year.

Thanks Murse, my plan is to have the Numeric installed and leave the OEM cables.. Glad to hear you love it!
