Wife's car needs new shoes so pulled the rear wheels and I'll take them to the tire shop for mounting and dynamic balancing in the morning. Having the Cayenne fronts rebalanced while I'm headed there to get rid of a little vibration.
She got a little over 20,000 miles and almost 4 years on this set.
thanks - that's where I purchased mine, but mine is def not as flush with the post, this looks more slick (and comfortable)
Yeah that part was key for me. I put up a detailed write up on the main forum. I was actually looking for more aluminum versus wood than what I received (wasn't specific in the ask though).
please post pics when you do. I’m thinking it would be awesome to showcase the mechanism.
I have done that and this is how it looks. You are going to need either a dremel or a finger sander to remove the tiptronic face plate as it is plastic welded to the surround trim.
@J.Tan Is that the shift **** available from Pelican? Looks great!
Thanks. I purchased mine directly from Manuel. Although I'm pretty certain that the wooden shift **** listed on PelicanParts are made by him as well base on the photos. I recommend buying it directly from him as he can customize it the way you want it.

thanks for sharing. That looks cool. I would probably go with a a **** without a shaft (maybe round 2)
Finally installed the Moshammer side skirts I bought ages ago that I had CF vinyl wrapped. Need a set of EMC2's rear bumper spoilers to complete the look, but they fit well and have a nice shape.
Used the 3M body tape they cam with and the one screw hole in the back that goes into the black plastic aero piece. I didn't use the front screw hole because didn't want to drill into the silver lower body piece.

20,000 on the rears? I get that on my fronts but this is what my rears look like after about 11,000 miles. Pretty consistent on the three 997's I've owned. All three H&R lowered though which I know eats tires. I haven't tracked either one of these cars so alignments and toe have been set for street driving and tire longevity rather than track performance. Still 10,000 to 12,000 miles on the rears looking like this.
Got a new windshield installed by Safelite at zero cost. Flawless work. Started as what looked like a small rock may have hit it but then a crack grew out of it, about 6" long. Called Safelite and it was confirmed that me being in Florida it qualified for replacement with no deductible. So based on what I heard it sounds like the cost of replacement may vary depending on which state you live in. Why else would she have confirmed which state I live in?
