I suppose I need to read up on whether that’s to code here. I think it should be but they don’t like recessed lights in general unless you build a box around them.

I got tired of the Tooki issues and not being able to take calls while driving. I love the look and feel of the original unit but love Apple car play more... I have it in my range rover and Mercedes and really wanted it in my 997. This was super easy to install and flows nicely with the interior. No interference with cup holder, knees or shifter. Sounds incredible too!

PS. The Tooki Bluetooth unit was fine...turns out the microphone cable was broken. Oh well.

I did the key switch today. Ordered the $18 one off amazon yesterday and used a link I found here online. Yes that transponder was tough to get out. I ended up destroying the old key. Took a few tries to make it work but locks and unlocks the car and arms the alarm. Looks and feels so much nicer. Going to order another and switch that one as well. Highly recommend this and my second key FOB was already cracked anyways.

Did a search on here but basically replace the old key with a newer version. Was $18 on Amazon. Hardest part was moving the transponder over. But so far works.

Default Cleaned the exhaust tips on my 997.2 Targa 4S

Looks better but still needs some work.

Curious, do you clean the inside of the tips?

I had some success cleaning them. Had to remove them to get better access to the recessed areas...

wow. those look great. I need to pull mine off and do the same.

Just bought the car a few weeks ago. Did brakes all around - decided to scrub everything down. Ended up being an all day job. Really enjoyable making things shine again. mid-way through it was looking pretty snazzy. couldn't get final pictures as it was 2am before I finished.

I started off with some hot soapy water in a spray bottle and a wheel brush, but the brake dust was really pretty bad on the suspension, but I didn't want to get overly aggressive on the aluminum with a bunch of chemicals, so I just used a softer wire brush and the soapy water. It took a little time, but the outcome was worth it.
