got some new-to-me shoes installed. i was lucky enough to find a set of lobster tails locally that were a bit beat up, but got a good price on them. had it refinished and powder coated, and now look brand new. put a set of ps4s's on them. ride is so much better and quieter than before (previous owner had a mismatched set that were getting old).
LOL, now we need to add one more improper name for those wheels to go along with Lobster Claws, and the proper name, Lobster Forks.
that looks super clean. i'm looking at adding a numeric shifter too and i wish there was a way i can just leave the center dash off so everything is exposed like that, it just looks so good. but mine is a daily so i need the storage space, and leaving those cables exposed probably isnt the best idea..
That does look clean. Agreed, seems like a good idea for a track car, but if you ever want that arm rest...
Based on all of the positive comments and desire to pimp my ride, I just ordered from Manny an ebony and light gray shift **** with engraved shift pattern and anodized GT style adapter to go with my C2s black/gray interior. Next will be Numeric shifter and maybe gundo hack.

Where do you buy the shift **** from? I see some options out there but for the old 915/G50 transmissions, and no black option.
Replaced the worn stock shift **** with a BFI in smooth nappa leather. Quality is good and weight is nice. Matches up to the 991 steering wheel pretty well. I'm looking forward to the improved shift weight.
That looks great. What it cost all in for the steering wheel , non multi function, with air bag, I assume about $2k. Would love to do that but not sure of the cost /benefit/effort involved. Currently have a thicker Dallas custom triangle wheel which is nice but I like the look of yours better, as well as the BFI shifter.
Took advantage of a free alignment rack to do an oil change, swap in a new pollen filter, and preventatively replace an oil pressure sending unit. Installed BBS E88 center cap adapters with 3D Black & Gold caps.
Also, it was a good opportunity to code the deck lid to "fixed" in preparation for the next mod!

It was about $1300 all in and I love the 360mm GT sport wheel. You can find wheel/harness in the marketplace/ebay sub $1k and the airbags are around $400. Getting the triangle airbag off is difficult and I see how they improved the retainer wires for the airbag on 997.2 and 991 generations to make it easier. If you go multifunction you'll need the adapter which is around $200 I recall, but you can get a 991 MF wheel from Suncoast for $900 which makes it worth it. After I got the airbag off, it was a simple swap and didnt have multifunction before so nothing to miss there. The look/style/feel of the 991 wheels is great. Upgrading the two things I touch while driving made a huge difference. The BFI **** carries a nice weight and made shifts smoother/faster. The **** was incredibly easy to swap too. I'd recommend both even considering cost of other mods. I drove a 987 with the triange and stock shift **** for 3 years and knew I wouldn't make that mistake again.
Spent some time tidying up the wheel barrels and brake calipers; installed wheel spacers (15mm rear and 10mm front); and installed new titanium lug bolts...
Titanium. Acer Racing. New ones are +10mm Front Before Front After (w / 10mm spacer)
Awesome. I recently bought a 2008 911 Cabriolet. Can I buy a hard top for it somewhere?
I hope you can. Bought my hardtop on ebay. $500 for the top. I think I spent $200 for the internal female adapter for screw in (not bayonett) which the top came with.
I have them on order in Black Nardo! Can't wait to get them! Any other pics? What mounts did you use?? I want to get low as practical and still be on sliders. What did you do?
