Default Repaired cup holder door that would not stay closed

I finally got around to fixing cupholder door Using this video.

only suggestion is to watch the thickness of mounting tape that goes on top of the white piece. Mine was thicker and I had to shave down with a razor blade to be about flush with the top. You can check by holding top in place and testing. No need to screw it all together to test

also got a new head unit. Was going to use me 12 volt Bluetooth adapter on my Bose to gain Bluetooth. Went another direction. I have the mr 12 volt if anyone wants to buy. I think I paid 145. Pm me

What rear deck lid is that? Love the subtleness of it.

Default Whole Bunch of Stuff

The car is been in the shop for a month, mostly waiting on parts from Germany but she's all sorted now:
- 2 new CV Boots and Axle seals
- PDK Diff serviced
- LOF with fuel and oil treatment
- Wiper Blades
- High Performance Fuel Pump replaced
- Replaced center vents that were missing a few slats
- Oil filler extension tube and seals replaced
- Safety and Emissions inspection

While it was in the shop I thought I would get her a stable mate so I pulled the trigger on a 2018 Carrera-T in Guards Red to boot. - OK no more spend for a year!

Those 991.2 steering wheels really are cabin jewelery, beautiful.

New Interstate battery because my old battery died. Really hoping my MR12Volt isn't killing my batteries. I do leave the USB cable plugged into it for easy access to a charger, though the phone obviously is not in the car overnight. I'll need to pay closer attention.

How old was the battery? Or how quickly are they dying on you?

It was 8 years old, non-OEM, and installed by the previous owner. I am probably being overly paranoid at this point, but I will keep an eye on it given that someone from the MR12Volt thread said that they did notice some very minor battery drain by virtue of tapping the power for MR12Volt from the footwell accessory/lighter plug.

That's a decent service life. I think my car is on it's 3rd or 4th battery since new. Just replaced one recently. Car was a bit hard starting and the aftermarket radio had a buzzing. I let it go until I got stranded like a dummy. All resolved with new battery.

This is super helpful to know. In the past, I have rarely had to replace car batteries though maybe I've never held on to one of my cars long enough. It's definitely starting much better than before. Thanks again!

Took her in for a polish, full PPF and then ceramic coating. More pix later, still working on her.

Going in for her spa treatment...

Rear valance wrapped in satin black ala GTS. Was going to plasti-dip but was already here...

Got the car back from getting the wheels powder coated. Gloss black with polished lip. Got the exhaust tips ceramic coated flat black but not that crazy about it. I thought it would have came back more satin but the guy says they don’t make it with gloss......🤷🏻‍♂️

8 years is an eternity for a battery in these cars. For whatever reason, they are extremely hard on batteries.

I am on my second replacement battery. I have owned my 997.2 since 2012 and it has 89k me on it. This last time I bought a Porsche AGM battery to see if it holds up any better.
