I finally finished the ducktail and took the car out for some drives this week - haven't tried it on the highways yet to evaluate if I need a front lip or not.
This is an RPG ducktail that I prepped, painted and installed myself
Here are some pictures:

First day with my new to me 997.1. Picked it up at the owners house and drove back to my parents where it will be shipped back. Was the best 70 miles drive! Looks good in my parents garage next to my dad’s ‘89 911. Thank you to those on here I PMd with advice and help.

So glad you went for the silver one with the sport seats with natural leather and PCCBs. You'll love it. The rear wiper is also a cool retro looking touch that most don't have.

GT silver is the best color in case you didn't know

You should have just driven her home. One day down here to SC and another down to FL.

Yes I know but was a time issue this week. If not I would have. My father already wants to drive it for me. And yes the seats are excellent I totally see why this person put the options in that he did. And if you want to really see retro there’s still the factory installed car phone. 😂

Congrats! Stone gray sports seats look good and feel great. I got lucky picking up a set as they don't seem to pop up very often.
