Talking

Got this little beauty delivered today, OEM carbon, new tiptronic shifter. I had my eye on it well over a year and he wouldn’t shift on the initial asking price, and now after everyone has been locked down for so long the price came down very rapidly!
Very happy, looks like I’ll have something to install over the weekend

Tried to jam it over into reverse, felt like I partially forced it in, car stalled. No warning on clutch, no prior slippage. I thought it was in good condition.
That's strange that it just failed without prior warning, bad situation to be in.. How many miles were on the clutch, is it the original that came with the car?

I took the car out for a test drive and the steering wheel feels much better than the sport wheel that was on the car.
what all was involved in this swap. And how much was the wheel/airbag.

Any adapters or wiring needed?

No change whatsoever to the way the car runs, overall increase in torque, 12 HP increase. Nothing negative, just smiles from the driver. The sound from the sports car is the way it should have been from Porsche!

Default Replaced the broken drivers door handle

Been putting this off for 6 months as it looked to be a big job but turned out only to take me 2 hours and saved time going to the dealers. I have a third part warranty but still figured I would give it a shot and glad I did. &37 part from pelican and a very helpful diy on youtube ends in a fixed door handle.

Thumbs up Kenwood Head unit upgrades

Installed the Kenwood double DIN DNX 997XR in my 997.1. Great unit and features. Glass touch screen, mic for phone, Bluetooth, wi-fi, EQ, SAT, Nav, HD radio, CD, micro SIM reader, backup camera,CarPlay,2 USB connectors

and pre amp module. Kept everything else from the Bose system and it sounds like a new system entirely. Purchased from Car Audio Innovation out of California. They provided great advice and support. They provided a clear installation manual and demo cds. Highly recommend these guys.

Nicely done. Investing in a trim kit helped a lot. Not a big change, but makes the car feel more solid exiting, which is nice for a 14 year old car.
