Some of the painted interior pieces were starting to look worn. I tired to get a paint to match the cocoa interior, but didn't have any luck with the paint store being able to mix a good match. So after checking to see that the parts were not that expensive I decide to try something different. I painted the ignition key surround, the seat belt mouldings and the moulding in front of the shifter body colour, Arctic Silver. They are not perfect but much better that they were before. I am going to use some polishing compound on them in a few days. I am really happy with the ignition and shifter moulding but undecided on the seat belt mouldings. I will leave it for a bit and see if it grows on me.
If you put 5+ layers of clear on them, wet sand with 2500 in 48 hours and then hit them with rubbing compound and then polishing compound. They will look great.
I had to fix the frunk switch so decided to paint a few more interior bits. Not sure I like them. May switch out to CF if there’s ever a group buy.
Speaking of which. Anyone wanna do a group buy on CF headlight and ignition switch trim?
I used a spray can of automotive paint and clear. When I did the console and cup holder it came out much better. Will run with these changes for a while till I decide to either reshoot or go CF.

I saw a guy in England who carbon fiber dipped his plastic pieces. They looked great in the video. I have no details but I'd look into it as an option. I know some have had problems with Porsche CF cracking and I suspect the original plastic parts might hold up better.

I didn't do mine. I've got factory CF but around 125K miles I started to see some cracking begin. That's why I might be more tempted to paint plastic parts rather than buy actual CF.
I first saw this from a guy in England who I believe sent his out.
Looks like Jay might have some hydro dip. At least I’m assuming hero dip was an autocorrect.

Note on CF failure ... There has been debate about CF quality and durability in our cars on this Forum and I feel a need to clarify on my previous post.
The factory put a lot of CF in my interior. The only problem I'm having is with the center piece. And to be fair to Porsche the crack and the impact fracture occurred after I started using the car to transport a couple grandkids between their parents' on alternate weekends (putting their restless 80 pound bodies and baggage in close proximity to the damaged piece for 250 miles times two each weekend). The CF held up great for the first 125K miles. How much can you expect?
Still I'd be tempted to do hydro dip on plastic if I ever replace this piece.
I have a lot of CF in my interior as I really like the way the texture and design breaks up the rest of the black leather while in a complementary rather than contrasting color. My OEM CF door pocket covers yellowed, delaminated and cracked a couple years ago at about 45,000 miles and my car sits inside all the time. My OEM center console is holding up fine as is the other door trim, though the clear is visibly yellower than the newer pieces I've installed. The other pieces I've added from a different supplier are still perfect and clear.
