Yes. Awesome. Yellow GTS has gotta be a nice place to be. Commendable, starting with a Carrera GTS as a first Porsche! I went the same route, cause if you're gonna do it, go big!
I’ve been debating coil overs for months if not years lol. Where did you find them? Pretty pricey no?
Pretty standard pricing everywhere with some people higher than the rest. I got them from Essex Distributors, they are the master distributor for Bilstein in Canada. They had 10% off for Black Friday and again now along with free shipping.
Yeah pricey that's why I too was debating for years. This year I said f*ck it and did it. Looks great but will need spacers as I probably won't splurge on new forged wheels next year.
Haven't driven on them much, maybe 10 minutes so can't comment on drive feel.
I went with Bilstein as they are tried and true and will be best for spirited street driving. This car won't see the track. If seriously tracking Ohlins (lose PASM) or Tractive are other options.
First I changed out the PCM for large screen up to date friendly touch screen with blue tooth Apple play Sirius XM and back up camera. Saving the factory parts for reinstalling in the future. Knowing the factory nav will not be functional. Unfortunately Porsche even up to the newest models has fair to poor factory Navs.
Next I changed the tires from the performance summer tires to 18 inch front and back snow shoes. I live in Wisconsin. They get snow here dah.
Finally I kissed my black on black 2008 turbo goodnight. Now I’m patiently waiting for the morning to get back in and drive that wonderful engine again.

I replaced the motor mounts with OEM ones on my 997. Hit the bolts with PB blaster when I did an oil change last month and followed the tutorials here. Didn’t run into any issues and was pretty easy. Mounts showed some wear and one exhaust pipe was slightly lower than the other one. Mounts had 31k miles on them.
Went for a 20 mile drive to Castle Combe racing circuit hoping to find the gates open, they weren't. Never mind I had a clear run all the way down the A420 in Wiltshire UK with lots of ups and downs and winding S bends. Crap road when's there's traffic but on xmas morning sheer bliss.

Congratulations and good sign for all 997's I hope ... I have a 4k mile PDK that I hope doesn't depreciate too much more than what I paid for it.
I have a couple of manual cars and I love them but in Chicago traffic they are a bear.
This one is a manual

You don't want to let this one go. Hopefully you have all the parts to turn it back to original. It is already a collectors' car.
