What did you do to your 997 today?

Thanks for the reply Petza. Battery is new and I keep it on a trickle charger when I'm not driving the car so I don't think it is part of the problem. Damp weather is not a factor either. I don't have any equipment to scan and pull the codes which would reveal what is the problem. It's just so frustrating to have an intermittent problem and never know what is going to happen when you turn the key.. I didn't think CEL could self cancel but it sure enough did only to return later. I can't drive the car the way it is so I guess I'll have to flatbed it somewhere for diagnosis and remediation. I also didn't think coil failure could be intermittent.
Lots of auto part stores will also let you borrow a code reader for no fee.

Now if there was a different headlight option with black internals, that might be a different story, but it's the only dark thing on the headlight and look s a little odd to me too as it contrasts too much. Like you say, leave it on for a bit and if you decide it's not for you, peel it off.

OK here's a goofy one: This weekend I added gloss black trim to my headlights. A purely cosmetic mod for sure, but for the time being I think I’ll keep it. If I get sick of it, it will take about 10 seconds to remove. The pre-cut vinyl rings are available here: https://kistudios.com/product/porsch...eadlight-trim/ Installation is easy but fussy. I got one side done quickly, but the other took me three tries and 30 minutes to get right. Care and attention are needed to avoid wrinkles near the outer edges (which would look terrible if allowed to dry). Once done correctly, the dry/cured result looks close enough to paint that a casual observer would think it was stock. These are terrible pics of the before & after. I’ll get some better ones eventually. Thoughts from the peanut gallery?
However, if you're not going to do several of these things, I'd recommend going back and staying silver with the silver car, wheels and lettering.

Not today technically, but over the last few days my dad and I covered a little more than 400 miles of twisty mountain roads. He rented a Cayman S for a few days (via turo.com) and it was worth every penny. The best weekend I've had in a long time and certainly something we'll do again. Incredible memories.

Finally...
Good God I can't stand listening to the radio. Haven't done it in over 2 years prior to buying the Porsche.
Had the dashcam and radar detector hard-wired at the same time for good measure.

Put 10 gallons of 100 octane race gas in my car today. Drove up the mountain like a bat out of heck! OMG, my car goes like its on meth. Only problem now is...I'll soon run out of it and my little car is addicted. Guess I'll have to start robbing the neighbors to pay for my habit

Participated as promo driver during FIA European Hillclimb championship.
Two races in this video. Tires Cup2 are not good for hillclimb as softer slick but still I had a lot of fun

Crappy weather, so I worked on its mini-me to get it as close as possible to reality. So I painted the wheels darker, wrapped the roof black and added the rear fender protection. Hey, a guy has to have a bit of fun from time to time 🤪

Stromski semi-solid mounts
New brakes rotors and pads
New rear tires
Proceeded to take a significant amount of track time with new tires at NCM in Bowling Green with Chin Track Days and instructor Tim Fortney (great all around dude).
I'm 518 2007 C4S, instructor car is the 412 2019 Turbo
I may have a new addiction.... mental note, going to need a sugar mama.
New chunks of someone else's tires stuck to the hood and side of my car - she's dirty like miley cyrus at the moment.
