Went to a very cool PCA event. Mayo in May. Got to see old and new Porsches. Everything from a 356 to a new Boxster Spyder.
Some crappy cellphone pics.

I installed a few interior carbon fiber pieces in my '10 C4S from MACarbon b.
It was all pretty straightforward expect for the glovebox latch .... During the swap over of latches, I almost managed to permanently lock my glovebox, then a managed to almost lose all of the inner lock pieces on the floor. But it's all good now, crisis averted, and I love the way these CF pieces blend perfectly with the black leather interior (much less jarring than the silver pieces!). Here are a few pics (that unfortunately show that I desperately need to detail my car's interior!)
This was actually my project from 2 weeks ago. Here's the thread with the key DIY steps. It's shockingly easy and makes a BIG difference in the interior! Here's the link to this thread:

Looks good!
Were installs easy/hard? For an only moderately handy person like myself (read: not handy)? Also are the stock parts that come off salvageable and reusable in case you want to put back to stock, or do you have to break plastic tabs etc.?
Finally, all those CF bits together,,what was ballpark cost?

Jsalah,
The installation varied between parts. Some were simple trim pieces to pop off the dash, with simple torx screws to remove (door trim caps, headlight surround). The handles were literally one torx screw, less than 2 min to install. The more challenging parts (like the horseshoe surround and the glovebox handle) required the removal of some of the lower footwell trim and pulling the subwoofer. While it seemed a little intimidating at first, MACarbon has detailed instructions on their website that detail every step of the way. If you buy new, you have the choice to keep the stock pieces or return as a core exchange (with a significant saved cost), so I have mostly returned the core parts to lower the overall cash outlay on all this stuff.
While you definitely DON'T need to be a mechanical savant to do this, it's definitely worth looking at the install guide on MACarbon's website for each piece to gauge your comfort level with each piece. I don't think you need the interior install tool kit, just some painter's tape and the right set of thin screwdrivers to safely pry some of the parts off the dash. But you DEFINITLELY need a torx screw set for T10, T15, T20 and T25 sizes. And you do need a bit of intestinal fortitude when you pull out the sub, the gear shift boot and surround and the trim pieces along the PCM stack, but it really is just about following the instructions and keeping track of which screws go where
As for the cost, like all things in life - it depends! I bought some new pieces direct from MACarbon - they're awesome to work with and a great group of guys. I also bought some used pieces from forum members (both Rennlist and 6Speedonline), and they've all been great quality. A lot of guys tend to remove their installed CF pieces when selling their cars, so cruise the classifieds on both forums for guys looking to do a deal. I have generally bought the used CF pieces from forum members a ~50% off the MACarbon list prices, and they've all been flawless from guys who appreciate and care for their cars and their mods!
I loved replacing all the silver trim pieces with the CF as it really compliments the black leather, and I can't wait to put the top down and see all the CF glimmer in the sun on my daily commute
