Note to Porsche classic - 997 PCCM plus request

Nordschleife Master
the .1 was first on the roads 18 years ago. either way, the product is done (manuals, photos etc etc). release date cant be too far behind.
If you are right, it might be based on the success of the 996 PCCM+ and etc, so Porsche plans to split the 997.1 and 997.2. In that case, I would expect the PCCM+ for the 997.1 to come out in 2023. I know you guys know this but the 15 year limit is pretty standard for something to be considered "classic."

I haven’t the slightest idea what the timeline is, might be, is rumored to have been, etc. I just don’t consider August “almost the end of the year”. My guess would be chip shortage, inflation, climate change, the last James Webb Space Telescope photos and MAYBE bore scoring. Haven’t figured out in what order though.😉

If you ran a race and you are on lap 8/12 you’re nearly to the end. . .

I’d call October, November, December the end of the year. It’s the first week of August. But, semantics…..no offense to anyone. It beats arguing about which oil is better, or transmission, or where the market is going, I guess. Nah, not really. Anyways, I’m patiently waiting for its release to see if it’s worthwhile. Not liking the wires CarPlay and lack of backup cam support. Seems like a joke in 2022, regardless if it’s in the middle or almost the end.

We’ll all patiently continue to wait, likely for the remainder of the year 😉

According to some person on another forum who purportedly talked to someone who knows something, release date may be 2023.

I said this before but I would bet that the release date will be in line with the 997.1's end of production 15 year anniversary IF the PCCM+ is split between the 997.1 and 997.2. I just like typing it over and over. Therefore, if it is just a 997.1 PCCM+, it will be sometime in 2023.
