Me too. The idea of having an updated OEM unit is amazing.

If this is produced for the 997 series, I'm definitely getting it. I don't care if it's wired or wireless CarPlay and I don't really need a backup cam since I have factory sensors (although it would be nice)...I just want OEM looks and functionality with a more modern look

Ditto. I mostly want this to have a cleaner look and use Waze to avoid tickets. 👮‍♀️

Definitely want the ability to add a backup camera. Integration with a dash cam would be nice, but not absolutely required

I think the 997.2 to 991.2 generation PCM is the sweet spot in large screen plus button placement. Fairly intuitive to navigate with physical buttons to save you when you're lost. I do not like the current generation of touch based infotainment. I always get lost in the menus.

Well, our wish has come true. Ulrike Lutz, director of Porsche Classic has announced they will be releasing a redesigned version of the PCCM+ for 997 and 987 cars as early as 2022.

Start saving your pennies!

YES!!!!

I just hope it doesn’t require that box in the cubby, it’s an eyesore.

Yea... I'm with you on that point. I don't understand why they wanted to use a break-out box instead of making the cable plug-ins integral to the head unit's front bezel.

we already have the required USB and others in the “armrest”. If they need to change or add something they might use that.
